HBO's "Last Letter Home": Did anyone watch it?
I called home this afternoon from work. My husband was in tears. He was watching a documentary first aired on HBO last Veteran's Day. The documentary consists of ten families reading aloud the last letter they received from a family member fighting in Iraq.

I said to DH that I would like to send * a copy of the DVD. Then again, I'm sure he wouldn't bother himself to watch it. After all, there might be a fundraiser to attend, or maybe some brush that needs to be cleared.

If you'd like to take a look at HBO's schedule so you might view the documentary the next time it airs, please go to http://www.hbo.com/docs/programs/lastlettershome/about/

I can't even imagine the grief these families, and so many others, live through daily. This war MUST end.

1. I tried...
It was too hard. I had to stop half way through. Very powerful though...

2. I saw it last year, and it is heartbreaking. Thanks,
Julie, for mentioning it. It sure wouldn't hurt anyone to see this.

3. I'm thinking about writing to HBO
and asking them if they would consider showing it again in prime time on the "free" networks.

The only way our men and women will come home from Iraq is if it gets too hot for * and his little friends to keep them there.

5. I was going to suggest Link TV or Sundance, or even
someone who might update the documentary for 2005 (God knows there are enough stories out there), but I can't think of one place that everyone who cares would have access to. :(

4. I couldn't watch it all
I tried.

I'm just too ashamed.
