Iraq Dead Undercounted
by Brian Harring, Domestic Intelligence Reporter

U.S. Military Personnel who died in German hospitals or en route to German hospitals have not previously been counted. They total about 6,210 as of 1 January, 2005. The ongoing, underreporting of the dead in Iraq, is not accurate. The DoD is deliberately reducing the figures. A review of many foreign news sites show that actual deaths are far higher than the newly reduced ones. Iraqi civilian casualties are never reported but International Red Cross, Red Crescent and UN figures indicate that as of 1 January 2005, the numbers are just under 100,000.

Note: There is excellent reason to believe that the Department of Defense is deliberately not reporting a significant number of the dead in Iraq. We have received copies of manifests from the MATS that show far more bodies shipped into Dover AFP than are reported officially. The educated rumor is that the actual death toll is in excess of 7,000. Given the officially acknowledged number of over 15,000 seriously wounded, this elevated death toll is far more realistic than the current 1,400+ now being officially published. When our research is complete, and watertight, we will publish the results along with the sources In addition to the evident falsification of the death rolls, at least 5,500 American military personnel have deserted, most in Ireland but more have escaped to Canada and other European countries, none of whom are inclined to cooperate with vengeful American authorities. (See TBR News of 18 February for full coverage on the mass desertions) This means that of the 158,000 U.S. military shipped to Iraq, 26,000 either deserted, were killed or seriously wounded. The DoD lists currently being very quietly circulated indicate almost 9,000 dead, over 16,000 seriously wounded and a large number of suicides, forced hospitalization for ongoing drug usage and sales, murder of Iraqi civilians and fellow soldiers , rapes, courts martial and so on – Brian Harring

2. I've been thinking about this ...
If they were hiding the actual death count, that would explain why they don't want the coffins to be filmed when they arrive home. It's not just because they don't want Americans to see the results of war ... they don't want Americans to see the number of coffins arriving home! You can't fake a death count if the press is counting coffins.

3. I've been suspecting this.
I read TBRNews too.

I just hope that this guy stays alive.

My understanding is that this Administration will do anything to keep the truth from coming out.

God bless him for trying!

Peace,

4. The names of the soldiers killed in Iraq....
...are public and easily available. Isn't it logical to think that at least some of the families of soldiers who died but who aren't listed would have raised a big stink by now?

6. almost certainly untrue...
There ways to cover up war casualties: "body-washing" (stating deaths occurred elsewhere for different reasons) among them. I have no doubt that some deaths have been written off as hospital complications in Germany, as described above.

But not this many! How can they cover up 4 times as many deaths as have been reported? Where are the local obituary and funeral reports? Where are the hundreds of families (assuming even 10 percent) who would be demanding their children be listed as casualties of the Iraq war, have their names read out by Ted Koppel from an official list, etc. etc.?

So I cry bullshit. Also, TBR is a Nazi rag (literally, in their case) and this thread is a lock to be locked. Luckily, I type fast and someone may read this before it drops...

7. FYI.
This has been discussed extensively on DU. Here is a flame-war on the matter: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=104&topic_id=3751044

Please note, however that TBR news is a highly suspicious organization. "TBR" stands for "The Barnes Review", an anti-semitic site. (I know accusations of anti-semitism can be bandied about for political purposes with varying levels of veracity, but these guys are holocaust revisionists, see http://www.barnesreview.org/html/archives05.html, 'nuff said.)

9. this site has casualties listed
w/ names, towns, causes of death, & location of death. Some of the deaths took place in military hospitals outside of Iraq. This count corresponds to the official count.

10. Just use your head. This is as ridiculous as mass graves of 100,000
7,000 families would cause quite a stir if their loved ones weren't mentioned.

Either way, if you want to continue this rumor, then I suggest you collect a dozen or so names of these missing thousands. Shouldn't be too hard to do.

12. So, if the site is run by Nazis, etc., does that automatically discredit..
...anything posted to that site?

Several other sites are run by rightwingers, but sometimes they post credible information. Are we going to thrown the baby out with the bathwater, or are we going to sift through every available piece of information to determine what's really true?

The alternative is to believe the DoD's figures and to accept the fact that reporters are not allowed to photograph and/or count the incoming coffins at Dover. After all of the lies we've been told by the NeoCon Junta and the DoD, is that what you really want to believe?

14. Yes, it does. If a site is run by Nazis who deny the Holocaust, you can't
believe ANYTHING they say.

The only stuff one can believe is rebranded material from other, legitimate sources.

It is just plain stupid to try to sift through the filth spewed at places like tbrnews.org

18. That did the same thing during Vietnam...
stacked bodies so high in Walter Reed they didn't have room for any more. Had a friend who worked at Walter Reed during that time. He said one day he and a friend of his looked at each other and said, they are lying to us about the body count.:wtf:
