The White House is completely disconnected from reality
Nebraska Republican Sen. Chuck Hagel is angry. He's upset about the more than 1,700 U.S. soldiers killed and nearly 13,000 wounded in Iraq. He's also aggravated by the continued string of sunny assessments from the Bush administration, such as Vice President Dick Cheney's recent remark that the insurgency is in its "last throes." "Things aren't getting better; they're getting worse. The White House is completely disconnected from reality," Hagel tells U.S. News. "It's like they're just making it up as they go along. The reality is that we're losing in Iraq."

1. It's nice to know
someone can so clearly point out the obvious.

Oh, wait. We've been doing that for HOW LONG?

Well, at least it's finally happening.

Say Goodbye, Bushie. Bon Voy-a-gee.

7. I've been sitting up waiting for my sugar to show

I've been sitting up waiting for my sugar to show
I've been listening to the sirens and the radio
He said he'd be over three hours ago
I've been waiting for his car on the hill
He makes friends easy
He's not like me
I watch for judgement anxiously
Now where in the city can that boy be
Waiting for a car
Climbing
Climbing
Climbing the hill

He's a real good talker--I think he's friend
Fast tires come screaming around the bend
But there's still no buzzer
They roll on...
And-I'm waiting for his car on the hill
It always seems so righteous at the start
When there's so much laughter
When there's so much spark
When there's so much sweetness in the dark
Waiting for a car
Climbing
Climbing
Climbing the hill

:hi:

3. He must be up for re election in '06
I know that, for a Republican, he's one of the "good guys" but I'm cynical enough to think he's mostly protecting his own hide. ON the other hand, maybe someone like Hagel will step up and be Lyndon Johnson's Gene McCarthy. It's gotta happen, and why not Hagel?

8. Chuck you got it baby, but you forget one thing
The White House does not give a flying fuck about reality!

Your leadership does not either, in fact you are a pile of steaming turds as far they are concerned.

Time to start putting country before party for all of these pukes, tell us something we can use to take them down Chuck.

9. Sooner or later
these thugs, who have draped themselves in the flag and used fear and intimidation to manipulate public opinion, silence the press, and destroy their detractors, will have their "Joseph Welch moment", when the people will have had enough. When all Karl's tricks and lies just won't work anymore and someone finally says "You've done enough. Have you no sense of decency? At long last, have you left no sense of decency?"

10. I was gonna say, when I read your post,
Like, this is news? Where the fuck you been? Then I saw you were referring to a Republidinosaur. Shit, they will say anything to get re-elected.
Bud
P.S. If their mouthes are open, they are full of shit! Don't make the mistake of thinking they are coming around or anything. They knew they were full of shit from the beginning. They just think maybe "this particular" full of shit, may be more advantageous at this time.

11. sadly, I don't think the WH is disconnected from reality at all.
I think they know exactly what the hell is going on. They are playing mind games and think they can fool all the people all the time. And with the media in their pockets, they have a pretty loud voice.

But truth is more powerful and hopefully soon, that will be heard loud and clear.

12. that moistened finger you see pointed up into the air? . . .
that's Hagel's . . . he's doing what the Democrats SHOULD be doing, i.e. getting ahead of public opinion . . . then, when said opinion swings firmly and convincingly against the war (coming soon), he'll be seen as a "leader" . . . it's called politics . . .
