People, you need to stop linking to tbrnews.org. That it gets linked
here is an absolute fucking disgrace.

Tbrnews.org is run by Holocaust-deniers and Neo-Nazis on the far far far far right.

Be a smart liberal--don't use them as a news source.

Its reports on Jeff Gannon and gay orgies at the WH were a lie.

Its reports about thousands of unreported dead soldiers are lies.

If it's not rebranded from another site, it's a pack of damn lies.

They are fascist propagandists, and one should assume that all of their "reportig" is pure fiction.

WARNING: Beware the "Voice from the White House"
by jbalazs
Wed May 4th, 2005 at 12:07:48 PDT

I have seen reference occasionally to "news" reports that apparently come from a White House insider. These reports are titled "The Voice of the White House" and are being put out there by TBRNews. The latest installement is all about Gannon (as are many previous postings).

According to TBR News, this "source" is "a reporter with access to the White House and Presidential press briefings." I began reading some of these reports from when they began back in March of 2004 and, while they are entertaining and sometimes convincing, something smelled bad. So I started to dig....

This latest "7000 missing dead" hoax should remind all good progressives that they need to investigate a source before relying upon it.

9. I haven't seen that claim, nor have I seen reference to
"tbr"

It would seem that a claim of 7000 dead (but unaccounted for?) troops would be an anti bush claim... but the points made in the OP read as if it comes from a pro bush group. Odd. Think I am glad that I am unfamiliar with the site and their claims.

If one doesn't believe the author, one doesn't believe the article.

When an article is based exclusively on the 'original reporting' of a Neo-Nazi propaganda outfit, one can safely conclude that it's nothing more than a pack of lies.

Until there is PROOF provided by that author, the only rational thing to do is conclude that the story is a lie.

47. nope.
The criticism is coming from the article, which has a byline, not the website. It happens to appear on a website that according to Geek Tragedy "rebrands" assorted articles.

They also reprint articles from ABC News, Agence France Presse, BBC, Boston Globe, CBS News, Chicago Tribune, Christian Science Monitor, CNN, Council on Foreign Relations, Financial Times, Human Events, Jerusalem Post, Los Angeles Times, MSNBC, The Nation, The New York Times, Newsweek, New York Press, Tom Paine, Reuters, Whitehouse.org, Time, Toronto Globe & Mail, Daily Mirror, Evening Standard, The Guardian, The London Times, and The Washington Post.

Should we "ignore" the information in all those articles because the articles are carried on this site?

that really your perogative. if i found something there myself, i'd think it smart to go back to the original source. just knowing it's filtered through an unreliable souece with connections to anti-semetic organizations is enough to make me wary.
but i guess i give a shit about using reliable sources, so you have another approach. if they're good enough for you, fine. but please stop defending them and then denying it.
you like them as a source, that says plenty.

Is that article is not picked up from anywhere: Mr. Herring seems to be the "domestic intelligence reporter" for the site, a conclusion much in the article itself supports. That means the article is, in fact, the product of an ultra-reactionary Anti-Semite. Such people have a pretty poor track record where telling the truth about anything is concerned....

America’s Enemies!

There are three entities who represent the most dangerous enemies to American liberties since George III.

They are:

1. The Neocons or Likudists who owe their personal allegiance to another country and now completely control our foreign policy. They lied and deceived us into the Iraq war and are demanding that more and more American soldiers die to preserve their own country and ideals.

2. The Christian Evangelical right who is trying to force the United States into becoming a theocracy under their rule. They know in their hearts that they alone can restructure a secular humanist America into their idea of Heaven on Earth.

3. George W. Bush who is the worst president in the history of the United States and who is directly responsible for the huge death tolls in Iraq, is determined to rule the United States until God puts a stop to him and is even more determined to force the American people into obedient, Christian and self-sacrificing lemmings.

We gather information, on a daily basis, from many websites. There are a number of publications that are well worth viewing for their intelligent reporting of national and international news. All of those sources, listed below, are daily newspapers with the exception of the Asia Times. The latter is a very well written site with in-depth articles that are worth reading.

The New York Times: www.nytimes.com
The Washington Post: www.washingtonpost.com
The Christian Science Monitor: www.csmonitor.com
The Guardian: www.guardian.co.uk
Seattle Post-Intelligencer: www.seattlepi.nwsource.com
Asia Times www.atimes.com

Note: Very little of the information in this edition of TBR news has come from the mainline American media. It is just not there. Most of it has come from foreign sources and the Internet. Most of our sources can be seen on the main page.

The Voice of the White House

June 16, 2005: “Your articles on the short-changed DoD death lists are not making you very many friends inside the Beltway. If this ever get out to the masses of Americans, there will be serious trouble. I have heard Bush say that there is no way anyone is going to dictate to him and his policy is to remain in Iraq as long as he feels it is necessary, come what may. This leaves his toadies to cover up the growing criticism over this ill-advised project . All the polls, and increasingly the media, are pointing out that the public is growing very unhappy with this Iraq business and Bush’s ratings are rapidly tanking. The media, timid as ever, is slowly beginning to realize the way the wind is blowing and are starting to trim their corporate sails.

In defiance of the Amnesty International severe criticism of Guantanamo Gulag, the people here refuse to consider doing away with it. Under increasing public scrutiny and criticism, Rumsfeld , Cheney and Bush absolutely refuse to budge an inch on any of this. This is typical of the inflexibility of the administration and without a doubt, given the upcoming Mid-Term elections, Congress is growing restive, fearful that an outraged voter base might chuck them out…pry them away from the money pot…and you are seeing more and more moderate Republicans moving away from the far right wing of their party and, like Clinton, towards the center. Pretty soon, all Bush and his bully boys will have left are a handful of nuts like Santorum, DeLay and a few others and this will not constitute any kind of a governing majority. I have seen this before and from comments I have heard from nervous Republican lawmakers, a consummation devoutly to be wished. Congerss has passed stem cell legislation against Bush’s wishes and has now begun to pick away at the notorious Patriot Act, let along tampering with his budget demands. All beginnings are difficult but hopefully the tide will turn.”

Does anyone remember the thread at Stormfront where they were talking about going into Free Republic to attract new members? That was freaky in and of itself, but some of the other posters on there were talking about the importance of recruiting on the left as well as the right. If there are neo-Nazis trying to pander to liberals, it could explain some of these TBRNews stories.

There is very clearly an attempt to infiltrate the left by these Reich-wingers.

Memos larded with needless exposition, so anyone outside their circle could get up to speed on The Story Thus Far at a glance?

That site has always published homebrew crap.
