Bush's Election Now Almost Meaningless

If a President gets re-selected by chronic lying, and then can't get any of his agenda passed in his second term, because the people start catching on to his lies, was his re selection worth it for either him or his party?

Now he gets to go down in history as not only a bad president, but a bad president who further damaged the country by leaving it polarized and entirely adrift for four more long years.

Not a good omen for Republicans.

2. I think it is meaningful

IT shows that the Republicans aren't going to stop abusing power until the people wake up and take back thier country.

like what our government really does...into the open. Only since the election, have I become aware of all the dirty deeds that have been woven into the fabric of my own history.

many if not most Republicans have their heads either in the sand or up their asses. I am still frequently amazed at their capacity for self delusion. I would like to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume that eventually even they will finally catch on, but at this point I remain skeptical. One can only hope, I suppose.

have depleted the surpluses, installed
radical rightwing judges for lifetime
appointments, filled the coffers of defense
contractors, raised profits for the Carlyle
Group, loosened environment standards on
businesses, limited civil rights on
citizens, installed pre-emptive measures
and policies, gotten hefty tax cuts,
redistricted states in their favor etc.

Bush has definitely been good for his
own...not for the rest of us and certainly
not for Lady Liberty.

administration. Conservatives who consider themselves Americans first and Republicans second I think will form a new party.
