10. Yes
Nothing wrong with recounts. They ensure that everything has been tallied properly. Double checking.

Fighting against recounts is a perversion, though.

8. Reconstructionism
Edited on Tue Sep-23-03 01:15 PM by seemslikeadream
Could we add Reconstructionism. It seems Theonomic Reconstructionists are trying to completely take over the Repbulican party. This is a belief that the only true authority is God's, that allegiance to biblical law TRUMPS that of civil law and that the Kingdom of Heaven needs to be built on Earth before Jesus will come again.

The TR movement is funded by billionaires such as Howard Ahmanson and the Coors and Hunt families, Reconstructionists have formed think tanks such as the Chalcedon Institute and the Ruthford Institute.

Ahmanson put his fortune into the majority stock of a business called American Information Systems started by two brothers, Todd and Bob Urosevich. AIS later merged with Business Records Corporation and became Election Systems & Solutions. ES&S is the number one provider of touch-screen voting machines.

Todd Urosevich is now Vice President of ES&S. Brother Bob moved on to head the second largest computerized vot-counting cusiness, Global Election Systems, recently purchased by ATM and security giant Diebold. The previous executives of Global moved on to head the third largest vote-counting company in the nation, Advanced Voting Systems. Combined, these three corporations will process nearly 80% of the next nationwide elections.

Compounding this mess is the code for vote counting software is considered proprietary property of the corporation involved, there can be no public review of the process by which votes are counted.

"My purpose is total intergration of biblical law into our lives."
Howard Ahmanson
