Democrat leaders, if you can't oppose bush better, I won't vote for you

i'm sick of the appeasers and kiss asses and the git along wing of our party. we need fighters and we need politicians who can define themselves apart from bush and the neocons.

i'm sick of people saying that there's not enough difference between the two parties. we need for the democratic party to be the anti republican party on every level.

but don't expect my vote in 06 or 08 if things continue to go along as they are.

What they vote for/against will determine who I will vote/for against.

Iraq is the litmus test for my vote. I can hold my nose and overlook some politicking but when people are dying so that some politician can keep his/her seat at the trough, is beyond polticis as usual.

Politicians follow the votes and the money. Our power to influence them (unless we happen to be millionaires) is limited to our vote. Make them work for it.

but only if they change their minds. supposedly that's political death, but if you word it nicely, it can work FOR you.

...and so does my former repub hubbie. He is energized by those who oppose dimson & co, not those who play patti-cake with the cons. Hubbie wants Conyers to run for POTUS, he also likes Durbin because he sees him day after day speaking truth to power on the floor of the Senate.

People want elected officials to work for THEM, not for corporations.
