I got tomb-stoned!

From a freakin' computer hardware site that had an open political forum. I was gnashing it out with some freepers. When one found out I was from DU because I mentioned it, he really went on a tirade. Anyhow, this was my response to him. I don't know if he got tomb-stoned too, but it doesn't matter. There are a ton of good hardware sites out there. I can live without this one. His last response to me listed a bunch of sites that he told me I should read before debating him as if he were some master debater (there is a joke in there, right?).

No, thanks. I've checked out many conservative places on the web and they strike me as nothing more than cultish, self-righteous, narrow-minded, simple minded, neo-con trash. But hey since you are here, explain this to me.

1) Economy is a shambles and your cult leader has saddled generations with a huge deficit, in part, because of a war that was not necessary.

2) The wars, one justified and unfinished; the other a complete waste of lives and money, but in the conservative warped mind it was okay because Saddam was bad, and supported terrorism and had WMD's or the mere potential to do all of this. Where are the WMD’s? Wait, they were never there and now the Downing Street Memos prove that the * Cabal was going to war no matter what. So far $200,000,000,000 and almost 2,000 lives have been wasted. For what? Please tell me! And now Condasleeza says that we have to expect a generational commitment in Iraq! Wonderful. Open your damn eyes! Your leader does nothing expect repeat the same old shit! His latest radio address could have been written a year ago. He goes on about how the economy is improving, blah, blah, blah and then he pulls out the trump card. He talks about the “terrarists” and 9-11 and it seemed that he even tried to link, yet again, Saddam to 9-11. Is he really this stupid? Does he think I am? Obviously, you are, but he is insulting the 52 million of us that didn’t vote for him. Oh well, you have to keep the populace scared, don’t ya? How do like this pic of daddy Dick?

3) The ever creeping influence of religion in government. This is frightening. Not everyone subscribes to the form of Christianity that Shrub has hijacked. It is unjust to represent people from such varied religious and non-religious backgrounds with such heavy handed and "morally" religious manner. Shrub is not religious. He uses it to pander for votes. He is just as bad as Usama bin Forgotten for usurping Islam. Let me remind you of something. The First Amendment to the Constitution states, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof…” This is first, not free speech or press, but the desire to never, ever establish or prohibit any and all religions. So at home and in your churches, worship as you see fit, but it public institutions like schools and courts, stay the hell out! Let me say that again. This government cannot even seem to support any religion at the exclusion of others. So Frist and Pat Robertson and James Dobson and Ralph Reed and all your other friends that support these radical mullahs need to read the First Amendment!

4) Underfunding social programs, most importantly education, and placing stupid yearly progress goals that are impossible to meet in some situations because his education "advisers" aren't even educators. Hell Reid Lyon, who is pushing the reading agenda, was a former Army grunt and spent two years as a teacher and Shrub sees him as some sort of reading guru. He's an idiot. I know how to teach reading because I am teacher and studied how to be a teacher, but Shrub continues to spit in our face. What other demands are unreasonable? How about this...if special education children do not take an on-grade-level exam, the school is penalized. What? Really? Yes, really, the Shrub admin are such idiots that they don't understand that special education children work at below grade level for a reason while specially trained teachers work to get them up to level over time. 5) The environment is being destroyed and not one person seems to care about the world in which we will live in 50 years and even worse the one in which my kids will live. But you don’t care because your type is an egotistical, “I’m only worried about myself, here and now type.” It’s not surprising for your feeble mind. You have no forward thinking.

6) Government telling me what to do and where to go. Big government encroaching into my personal territory. Has it ocurred to any of your repube friends that the repube party once stood for small government and now it is pushing big government bureaucracy? And why the hell did the government work so hard to involve itself in the Schiavo case? It was a tragic family matter. Do you remember butthead Frist’s diagnosis that Terri was responding to stimuli? He was completely wrong as were every one of your “culture of life” freaks. She was blind and her poor brain and shrunk to half the normal size of a person’s brain. She was not there!

Oh and let’s talk gay marriage. Why the hell are you repukes so scared of gays? I really think that you repukes that protest so much are so gay and you hate yourselves for it so you attack other gays. You gay gay bashers hide behind some cloak of hetero marriage defenders but how in God’s name is banning gay marriage going to stop the high divorce rate among men and women?

I could go on, but I am tired. Feel free to spew your rhetoric. I didn’t come here to debate the likes of you but you can't think for yourself anyway. You like an image so you support it without actually seeing the big picture (It’s that narrow-minded thing again). That is all. I actually care about something a bit more profound. Go back home and live in your bubble.
