We, for sure, already have a Big Brother, but that has been in place since the '30s with the OSS. Do you guys think that Orwell had his finger on the pulse of the future, or if we are just hyping things up to make it seem dystopian. Constant War, Monitoring of Public,Huge Conglomerates of Corporations and Countries, and various other things I truly believe Orwell PREDICTED.

My opinion, I DO live in fear for speaking my voice. Not to the extent of Winston Smith, but to the degree where I am weary of even posting on this message board. The fact is I simply do not care, because to stop a dystopian society from forming, there has to be sacrifices

I don't fear speaking my voice at all in the U.S.

We have the wonderful ability to speak freely on anything we choose. There are places in the world where if you say the wrong things you can easily be the target of death squads and get "disappeared" without any hesitation.

It gets very tiresome seeing my brethren on the left complain about this sort of thing. Because sure, there are tiny restraints/censorship on speech, but compared to world standards we have it made.
