Yes, folks, Jason Lewis, who in his own ads for his KSTP radio talk rant was known as "Mr. Right," is quitting KSTP to go back to north Carolina from whence he came.
"Radio Free Minnesota" soon will be no more.
Republicans who depended on his rants are weeping bitter tears.
No lie: he used to have kindred GOP spirits on the floor of the state House and Senate e-mailing him the names of DFLers and Repubs who were not going along with the right-wing line so he could excoriate them on the air and generate tons of calls to their offices.
Even some moderate Republicans, like Rep. Jim Ramstad, came to hate his rigid ass.

By this time next week, KSTP-AM radio host Jason Lewis will be a far-right memory. Minnesota's Mr. Right is packing up for Charlotte, N.C. There he will host a drive-time show for WBT-AM, the station he left a decade ago.

"I want to be classy about this and leave town in a dignified manner," Lewis said. "I've been here 10 years. It's been a great run. But I got an offer from a terrific station in a place where I've got some name recognition. We negotiated here, and in the end the offer there was a little bit better."
Word of the move leaked out around noon Monday, and by the time Lewis started his show at 5 p.m., his name and photo had been pulled from the AM 1500 Web site.
The move is a serious blow to KSTP. Once seen as merely a platform for Rush Limbaugh, the Hubbard-owned station has developed a strong stable of local talent, including Lewis, Joe Soucheray (also a columnist for the Pioneer Press), Ron Rosenbaum and Tommy Mischke.
