It's a total set up...
First Goss(damn this is alot of work)head of the CIA says that we know were Osama is but we can't go after him. Citing sovereign nation bullshit, like that mattered with Iraq, but not naming the nation, then msnbc.com (tool of the admin*) has a vote question regarding, "should we go after Osama regardless of where he is?"
The turn out so far is overwhelming in favor of getting him.
Then moron* pictured on the cover of msnbc.com as being under fire.
I bet anything, that Osama, according to moron* and moron goss, want us to believe that he's in Iran. So for the first time, they will admit, according to public opinion, we should go after Osama and they will attack Iran.
Two things happen here, he will come across as listening to the American people and he will show some of that bullshit resolve he's always throwing about. Just mark my words.

If U.S. intelligence officials have an ‘excellent idea’ where Osama bin Laden is, should they go get him?

81. Har, har, har, politicaholic! THAT was funny!
And when I first glanced at your handle, I thought it said, "politicatholic," and was thinking that very clever and wondering what it meant, and thinking it meant, "Time to attack North Korea!"--because that's what the Vatican would do, i.e., predatory capitalism is destroying all life on earth; time to attack birth control and gay marriage.

I've long thought the Bush Cartel was getting strategy lessons from the Pope.

Your comment on the current madness is still funny, catholic or not.

i've hated bin laden for so long, but that tape he made just prior to election night had me cracking up. I want him to be a thorn in dubya's side right up until he's out of office. And then turn himself in right after Inauguration day. Only if the new pres is a Dem tho.

82. how do you know bin Laden is alive?
You don't. Those tapes are broadcast to the American sheeple but with caveats -- "we don't know if this is authentic."

Well, fellas, you're supposed to authenticate it for cryin' out loud. THEN broadcast it. (Why is it okay to broadcast tapes that could be fakes, but it's not okay for Rather to use AWOL documents that portrayed accurate info but were probably not authentic?)

OBL had a serious kidney problem way back before 9-11 -- apparently requiring regular dialysis. Maybe he got a transplant, maybe he got well, or maybe he's the same. Or, he could be dead.

But, ask yourself this question -- if OBL died of some disease process, would BushCo tell us?

Answer: NO. Because, as you say, BushCo NEEDS OBL as their villain. Bush can't be a "hero" without a villain.

43. Except that Osama would absolutely LOVE for bush* to attack Iran.
So far, bush* has given Osama everything he dreamed for.

*United Muslim World.

*Destabilized the Middle East

*Isolated the US from European Allies (and everyone else)

*Destroyed the US reputation WorldWide. The US is now the torturers, invaders, and occupiers (just as Bin Laden always preached).

*Demonstrated to the WORLD that our much talked about Love of Freedom and Democracy, our Constitution, Rule of Law, and Treaty Obligations (Geneva) are nothing but empty words.

*Forced the Richest Nation on Earth to become consumed by the FEAR of a handful of Men who don't even have a country.

*Forced the Largest Democratic Superpower to VOID their Constitution and impose the beginnings of a Police State.

*Seriously damaged (if not destroyed) the US economy for at least a generation, probably longer. (Osama helped destroy the Soviet Union the very same way.)

*The US Military is being consumed in an unwinnable prohibitively expensive WAR (just like Osama did to the Soviet Union).

*The Muslim terrorists , previously a small group of extremists rejected by most Muslims are NOW Heroic Freedom Fighters to most of the Middle East.

*A previously stable Middle Eastern Oil Country (Iraq) that tolerated
Religious Freedom (Christianity), educated the population ABOVE Western Standards, Provided Universal HealthCare (HIGH Western Standards), practiced Western Capitalism, and was a stronghold Separation of Church and State, is NOW in ruins, a training ground for Osama style terrorism and religious Fundamentalism.

****Mission Accomplished for OSAMA! *****

OSAMA WANTS bush* to extend the unwinnable Crusade to Iran.

The really embarrassing thing is that bush* could have easily won by NOT playing Osama's game.

Bush says he's not interested in OBL, then...WHAM...grabs him in Iran. QUOTE OF THE DAY
Taken from the President’s remarks at the Memorial Day Commemorations at Arlington National Cemetery today 30th May 2005. It's the next to the last line of his remarks.

"A day will come when there will be no one left who knew the men and women buried here."

But then he pastes on someone will still come and honor them but I thought it was kind of weird to say.

Remember the asshat that said "we're an empire now, and we create our own reality" (paraphrasing)?

This is a perfect example of how they do that. And, it's brilliant. Let the bad guy, the Emmanuel Goldstein character, slip away. Let the anger and the frustration build up. Then, use him again for your next war.

This is pure evil. But, there still aren't enough bodies to fight this war. Another 9/11 will be needed to start a draft, martial law, and locking up the dissenters.

The next 9/11 will again be blamed on the now Iran-based UBL.

First thing I thought was what an excuse. What a fucking set up is exactly right. No dumbass makes such a comment as Goss did today, unless it has further reasoning. I think the Iranians know it's coming too.

My brother-in-law's girlfriend just got back from visiting her family there. She grew up in the states and hadn't been over there for a while. I don't speak with my RW bro-in-law, or her really, but it just seemed weird that they planned a trip out of the blue a month or two ago to go back and visit soon.

Then again, maybe it was just a visit and I overthink everything.

46. Ledeen says as much in the National Review!
Puke propaganda alert!

http://www.nationalreview.com/ledeen/ledeen200506200854.asp

Meanwhile, the director of central intelligence gently reminded us — or so it appears — that we have profound problems to resolve with the mullahs. Time asked him how we were doing in the hunt for Osama bin Laden. He replied that the matter was rather more complicated than one might imagine. He was quite sure he knew where the master terrorist was located, and I think he told us that bin Laden is in Iran. Judge for yourself:

...we have some weak links...until we strengthen all the links, we're probably not going to be able to bring Mr. bin Laden to justice. We are making very good progress on it. But when you go to the very difficult question of dealing with sanctuaries in sovereign states, you're dealing with a problem of our sense of international obligation, fair play...

Is he not saying that bin Laden is in a sanctuary in a sovereign state? And what state could that be? If bin Laden were in Afghanistan or Pakistan, it wouldn’t seem to be such a vexing problem as Goss suggests. But Iran, now that’s a problem. Indeed the biggest problem in the war against terrorism.

68. I would think his family
would have wanted him buried in Saudi Arabia when he died of his end stage renal failure. However, that might have been sticky so he's probably buried in Pakistan. Unless, of course, the US got him placed on ice when he died of his end stage renal failure so they can trot him out when they invade Iran.

48. Don't *co realize that, as with Iraq, the Iranians will fight back?
From guns to fistfights to destroying oil wells; as the US pushes forward its oil gambit, its enemies will merely tighten the noose aorund our necks.

When it comes Saudi Arabia's turn... :scared:

60. Ooooh noooo, not like Iraq at all. Not even close.
Iran has a very large, very equipped standing military. And airforce. And Sunburn missiles. And worse missiles. And friends. And a very much larger population.

Iraq had none of the above.

An attempt to invade & occupy Iran would make Vietnam's casualty number look like a day in the park.

49. Tucker Carlson and Curt Weldon get in on the act
http://msnbc.msn.com/id/8247486/

WELDON: In May of 2003, I gave the CIA very specific information that 19 Pakistanis, a part of al Qaeda funded by Iran, were going to hit a nuclear reactor in the U.S. And I said the first three letters were SCA. In July, I gave them the name of the reactor. I said it's Seabrook. On August 22, in 2003, the Rural Canadian Mounted Police in Canada arrested a 19-member Pakistani cell.

When you go through my book, you'll see all the detailed specifics of those 19 terrorists. In fact, they had no visible means of income, yet one of them had $20,000 or $40,000 in the bank. They had been involved in indication of the Pickering reactor in Canada. One of them had been training as a pilot. So, the facts are all there.

CARLSON: Well, wait a second. I mean, if those are indeed facts, Congressman, we ought to be invading Iran, say, tomorrow.

thought I was being paranoid.

But the more I think about it, it is bush's answer to invading Iran.

54. Curt Weldon says Bin Laden's been "in and out of Iran several times"
http://www.redstate.org/story/2005/6/19/135553/983

Republican Curt Weldon of Pennsylvania and Democrat Jane Harman of California talked to Blitzer on CNN's Late Editon. Weldon said that he, unlike DCI Porter Goss, does not have an excellent idea where Osama bin Laden is. Weldon is confident that OBL has been in Iran, in-and-out several times. Harman says she's "see no evidence" that he has been in Iran at all. She said it is hard to fine him in the clans in Waziristan.

I think Harmon's a whore as well, so this should be taken as a good sign.

63. Ain't It A Coincidence That When DSM Seems To Be
picking up a little steam, MSM is reporting about Goss & Osama! Something smells like ROVE!

Fuzzy Wuzzy Was A Bear... Fuzzy Wuzzy Can't Be FAIR! Liar, Liar, Pants On Fire!!

How many lies will it take, and can they keep ALL of them under wraps. You know what they say when you start to lies, in time you can't keep track of them. I'm sure they have them documented, however even Rummy screws it up sometimes. But of course, Rummy's excuse is to FUZZ it up even more with some cryptic remark!

I WANT THESE PEOPLE, and I want them bad!! They must pay for TREASON!

He'll be the continuing excuse for invading whatever other ME Country is next on their PNAC hit parade. Apparently Osama can 'run and hide' wherever is convenient for PNAC crew.

79. only one thing
They are not really going to repeat much of an effort to make a pretext or argument for a war(yawn). The Shrub shrugs and plunges ahead into seas incarnadine because such a clever scenario is really not crucial for the go ahead.

They are really acting, as they usually do before a done deal, that gymnastics and qualifiers do not matter at all. They have command and they have guns. They have a plan and they do it. The sorry show of pretext is for political PR and they seem not much concerned about that either(the inner circle that is).

Bush has yet to be slammed down, hit between the eyes. All dissent and opposition are laughable compared to the raw power he believes they have.

86. I'm beginning to believe the guy is dead already and they are just
using him over and over again to ensure things go their way, they more than likely already buried him in an unmarked grave, they get more mileage from a live Bin laden then they would have if it was known he was gone from this earth.
