Death in Iraq under stated?
Ed Schultz today said the real number of U.S. war deaths in Iraq could be 2 or 3 times higher than stated. Apparently they have not been counting those who died of wounds later.

Does anyone have a link to something that explains all that?

1. Not again! This is a rumor put forth by white supremacists, whose
website I shall not link. It's been debunked and debunked and debunked.

2. Really?
What would be the motive of white supremacists to start a rumor like that? I'd think they'd be all for a war that has killed so many "brown" folks.

3. Actually there must be some truth to this
The military is now using contractors to do what traditionally had been done by the military. If you counted in the contractors' deaths, the count would be higher. I don't know anyone or anything that is keeping track of the deaths of contractors.

6. If you read the casualty lists carefully...
you'll see they DO list people who died later of injuries. Damn, can't Schultz be bothered to READ IT???

Here's one I found on the DOD website:
-----------------------------
OFFICER DIES FROM WOUNDS SUFFERED ON MARCH 22ND

The Department of Defense announced today the identity of Air National Guard Maj. Gregory Stone, 40, of Boise, Idaho, who died on March 25th from wounds received by a grenade in a tent at Camp Pennsylvania, Kuwait, on March 22nd.

Stone was assigned to the 124th Air Support Operations Squadron, Idaho Air National Guard, Boise, Idaho.
------------------------------------------

If I can find it within three minutes of random searching, maybe Schultz ought to consider doing a little RESEARCH before he shoots his mouth off.

7. You can bet that deaths amoung Iraqi's are understated
they are only reported if someone from the media is there.
