I was visiting my freeper brother earlier. The "news" was on on the local GOD fm affiliate. Their field reporter had just returned from Iraq.

"Gosh, Chip, tell us what you saw!" chirped the perky female newscaster.

"Well,Jody, it just gets better and better every time I go over." replied the chipper male field reporter.

"Gee, Chip, then why does the so-called "main stream media" (quotes clearly audible) say such negative things about the war?" asked perky.

"Jody, I just can't imagine. Things are just rosy. Traffic is heavy on the streets. Folks are out and about and getting on with their lives. It's just peachy!" replied Chipper Chip.

"Well thank you so much for your report, Chip. It's good to hear our wonderful President is making the world such a great place for everyone to live!" concluded Gushing Jody.



See, I'd love to say I made all this up, and truthfully, the dialog is all mine. But it is very much in the spirit of the "newscast" that a lot of people in this area get daily. To call it bizarre would be an understatement of the grandest magnitude.
