Limbaugh Sez There's Nothing Brave About a Liberal
But what has HE ever done in his life that could be considered brave??

o He avoided the draft.

o He got arrested under an assumed name (Jeff Christie) in the company of a male prostitute in an area of Pittsburgh frequented by gays.

o He uses call screeners to shield him from people with opposing viewpoints.

o He broadcasts from an undisclosed location somewhere in Florida.

In fact, if you looked up the word "chickenshit" in the dictionary, you'd see Rush's picture.

14. Looks like its southern FL
"Mitch recently returned from southern Florida where he installed a radio broadcast studio for Rush Limbaugh. Rush is spending more time down there these days and wants to have his whole crew working locally with him. Along with a production room he needed a control room with a full array of equipment and a call screener position. Pacific Research and Engineering studio furniture was installed in both rooms along with 360 Systems Shortcuts, cassette decks, and SVHS machines with monitors. The control room got a Pacific Research RMX board, a good assortment of processing gear (along with an Eventide Broadcast delay unit), and more 360 Systems gear: 3 Digital Cart machines and an Instant Replay."

Hhhmmm...we need to "smoke 'em out of his hole", don't cha think?

7. But Rush, almost no one on your side had the guts to serve in combat...
or even in uniform. There's....uh....Donald Rumsfeld (peacetime pilot) and George W. Bush (went AWOL) and...uh...uh...never mind!

Who said that line about it takes more guts to be a liberal than to be a conservative--because it's a lot harder to offer a helping hand to your fellow man than to give them the finger?

His draft dodgeing was a good thing just think about how many people would have died carrying that fat bozo's slack for him.

That being said if I ever catch him I will shove my CIB up his ass sideways

24. It's unsubstatiated.
Limbaugh used to be a DJ in the Pittsburg area. His on air name was Jeff Christie. During this time a man named Jeff Christie was arrested in the Pittsburg area. I believe the crime was soliciting an underage male prostitute. From what I have read in the past, I am pretty sure we can assume that this much is fact.

As far as I know, it has not been proven that Limbaugh was the Jeff Christie that was arrested. The argument against this is that Jeff Christie was probably not his legal name and any official records or newspaper articles should have included his real name (Rush Limbaugh.)

15. Here's my answer.
A rant I started a thread with last week:

“…AND THE HOME OF THE BRAVE”

There’s something that has to be said to an unfortunately large number of Americans. The words at the end of our National Anthem do not apply to you. Sorry, that’s just the way it is. And here’s why:

You’ve given up freedoms in order to ease your fear. You’ve let your fear control your thinking. You’re not brave. You’re a wimp; and because of it you’re less free.

Patrick Henry said, “Give me Liberty or give me death”. What would he say if he saw his rights being severely eroded by the Patriot Act and now further threatened by Patriot II? Maybe, “This Liberty thing is negotiable, you know, I’m kind of afraid right now”? I don’t think so! But that’s what you say when you do nothing about the erosion of your rights. He was the kind of American referred to in “The Star Spangled Banner”. Not you.

Thanks to your fear, the government can search your home and access your most private records without your knowledge. And without a warrant. And without probable cause. You can be designated a terrorist on the say-so of one member of the administration. Any organization you’re a member of can be designated a terrorist organization the same way. No evidence needed. You may deserve this because you won’t stand up to it. But those of us who do speak out don’t deserve to be in this same boat with you. We will get our freedoms back. And when we do, we’ll get your freedoms back for you at the same time. But that won’t make any difference to you; you’ll still be trembling in your armchair. Because you’re a wimp.

You let this administration lead us into an illegal, immoral, and totally unjustified war without a peep. You were lied to and swallowed the lie whole. Does that make you innocent? When a naked appeal is made to your fear, it’s your duty as a human being to find out what the real facts are. You haven’t shown your innocence by claiming you didn’t know the facts. You’ve just shown that you’re lazy, as well as a wimp. And make no mistake about it, the very real bravery shown by our men and women in uniform doesn’t rub off on you. Your using that bravery to cover your fear just makes you look that much worse in contrast.

Hearing the “Star Spangled Banner” has always filled me up and made the hair on my neck stand out. It has always reminded me of the dream of justice and freedom that is America. It still does. It’s heartening to know that when people sing it, they’re singing it for people like me. Too bad it doesn’t apply to you.

18. Every great movement throughout history was started by a liberal
Rosa Parks was a liberal, and wasn't she brave?

Martin Luther King was a liberal, and wasn't he brave?

Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton were liberals in their time, and weren't they brave?

John Brown, Frederick Douglass, and the rest of the Abolitionists were liberals, and weren't they brave?

The founders of the labor movement were liberals, and weren't they brave?

Hell, the founders of this country were the liberals of their time, they were even "Revolutionary." And weren't they brave?

29. Said by a man who sits on his backside and spread gossip.
Ooh, isn't that courageous!

Seriously, we've got to call the Ann Coulters and Limbaughs and boneheaded columnists and garden-variety fascists and just plain liars on the carpet every time they make a false claim about liberals being (choose one or more) treacherous, cowardly, ineffectual, lazy, mendacious, and traitorous.

And a lot of our guys are veterans and even heroes, whereas a lot of their guys are chickenhawks.

Ted Kennedy served in the military. Bruce Willis and Tom DeLay, Kennedy-bashers both, did not.

George McGovern, Cesar Chavez, Harry Truman, Tom Daschle, Max Cleland, Bob Kerrey, Daniel Inouye, and John Kerry all served in the military. Trent Lott, Saxby Chambliss, and their ilk did not.
