because the fix is in. The line in the sand was agreed upon and drawn so far away from anyplace * could go that any agreement reached would be acceptable to France. But they doubt it will happen. I think the EU already made the political decision that one more year of suffering in Iraq is worth preventing for more years of * . What a horrible dilemma * has hoisted upon our allies. 1. I think there's something to that...

but there's also the possibility that someone else on the SC will veto a resolution. There will be no 1440's this time around, because that's what the * cabal used for 'legal' justification, although they don't belabor the issue in that regard.

Whether they say they'll veto or not, my belief is that the general consensus is that the US broke it, against the will of the SC, and the US will pay for it.

There's also the notion that if they cave in to neocon demands that will free up the US military to move on to Syria and/or Iran, which is something we know the neocons can't wait to do.

4. I wish the UN wouldn't do that

It will allow bush* to save face. His spin machine will go into operation and before you know it it will be a fantastic victory for bush*. For instance if I remember right there are now 90 countries in the coalition according to Wolfowitz.

It is bush* losing face that gives us weapons to hit him with.
