5. I did know a guy who admitted to killing Nazis after they surrendered
They didn't line them up and execute them.

What they did was sort of refuse to accept their surrender if any of their own guys had been killed.

At least, that's all he was willing to admit.

4. Those Americans gave the Nazis full legal rights; charges, counsel, trial.
That's what REAL Americans do, even for Nazis.

Fake "Americans" don't. The population of America has 70% fake "Americans".

6. Back then it was probably called agressive interrogation
See thats the great thing in winning a war you usually never get prosecuted for war crimes.:sarcasm:

11. The fact that the German soldiers ran west when the allies
were closing in tells the story. They wanted to be taken POW by the Americans, not the Russians who had a big axe to grind with the Nazis.

17. Hard to blame them
It's supposed to be the largest number of rapes in the history of the world when the Red Army hit Germany and Hungary.

12. Hard to say.
The winners never prosecute themselves for war crimes. The losers are always the criminals.

15. We also have to look at the question of what constitutes torture
I would safely bet that some of the interrogation techniques of yesterday which were not considered torure at the time. Would be in todays world and moral climate.

18. The CIA was started in 1947....two years after WWII ended.
Your father was probably talking about the OSS, the precursor to the CIA.
