Is there ANYTHING that can topple the B**h administration?
They just keep going and going like some kind of mutant freak from Planet Zork that won't fall no matter what is thrown at it. Is there any scandal, anything that will actually bring the whole thing crashing down, like Watergate did for the Nixon admin?

3. You have to take back the House or Senate,
right now they have all the power. That's the real problem. We must get the word out that if people are unhappy with Bush, which seems to be the majority right now, then they have to not vote republican. It sounds like a tall order, but if the war got Bush back in, this war can also be what gets rid of him. He has no intention of leaving anytime soon. And people will not be patient much longer. Maybe if we get some dems with balls that would be anti-war candidates, we could be successfull. I sure hope so................

If you didn't notice, however, there is this silly little 'memo' thing going around...

they are either afraid, with good reason, or they are connected to the corporatists. Republicans have most of the power and they are a vengefull bunch as we all know.

Edited on Wed Jun-22-05 10:38 PM by jzodda
considering that no president was actually ever removed (Nixon resigned and there is serious speculation that he would have survived conviction in the US senate even if the house impeached him)

so in all reality, which sometimes this forum really lacks...the answer is no

On the bright side 3 years from now on this date we will be in the throes of another campaign and the hope that we can unseat these dirty Repukes!!!

10. Whoever the power elites are that owns bush
can bring em down..then again bush family has long been a highly ambitious cartel and maybe they are a power in their own right..but the power elites of europe ,the nobility and kazillionaires may not like all this attention..bush is both power and puppet..but will his owners say enough ..??

the problems are deeper than bush..bush is just the symbol, albeit a real and scary one, for the sickness of the world

uber rich are gouging the commoners good for now BUT "all things must pass"..and family bush once exposed shall go to the dustbins of history.
question is will the USA survive family bush??will I survive??
will my kids live happy ,joyous and free??
or locked in some bizarre police state like the soviets with the elites continuing their lavish lifestyles..

12. Only an economic catastrophy that affects the middle class directly
Right now we are in the middle of corporatist phase in the beliefs of Americans. They have been convinced by continual Repug/right wing media repetition that corporations know best, CEOs know best, Repugs are good for the economy (at least better than Democrats). Also, that the people who make a lot of money must be given all the leeway they need to create jobs and a robust economy.

Most Americans buy this bullshit in spite of the mountains of evidence that it doesn't work. The only thing that will smack some sense into these sheeple is an economic collapse. Then, like after the Great Depression, they'll see the light. That is, until the Democrats fix things and the Repugs convince them once again that their way is better.

26. Agreed! It is time for us to march and reclaim our country...
Our entire country is a "free speech zone". This July 4th is the perfect time to hit the streets. Lets have a nationwide street dance for Sesame Street in front of every PBS affiliate.
Here is a song to put us in the spirit:

Hey, comin’ out around the world be ready for a brand new beat
Oh, summer’s here and the time is right, oh, for dancing in the street
Dancing in chicago (dancing in the street)
Down in new orleans (dancing in the street)
In new york city (dancing in the street)

All we need is music, sweet music (sweet, sweet music)
They’ll be music everywhere (everywhere)
They’ll be laughing, singing, music swinging and dancing in the street

It doesn’t matter what you wear just as long as you are there
They’re dancing (dancing in the street) oh oh

This is an invitation across the nation the chance for folks to meet
There’ll be swinging, swaying, music playing and dancing in the street

Philadelphia, pa now (dancing in the street)
Baltimore and d.c. (dancing in the street)
Can’t forget them other cities (dancing in the street)

and I think that day is slowly dawning.

I was in a coffee shop today.
Two guys were at the next table.

Guy One said to Guy 2 ," Are you still a Conservative?"

#2: Yes, but I can't take Bush any longer.
#1 : Really!

#2: I voted for him but I'm not with him now!

I believe these conversations are taking place all over America.

25. Yes they are
and the DSM is doing it

The one I had just yesterday with a neighboor, we have never discused politics before

He asked what I was listening to?

Air America

Aren't they lefties?

No, not quite, Shultz (local station) is right of center, Al Franken is slightly left of center, now Rhandhi Rhodes and Mike Malloy are very much on the left as well as the Majority Report, but they are upfront about their personal biases.

Well waht do they cover?

DSM... which has not been talked about

Well it is now...

After we presseed and pressed... it broke three weeks ago

Well I don't think we can do anything about it

Under article two, section four of the Constitution.... (yes I quoted the section)... and if we are willing to not fight anymore well maybe we should just declare him king

Well but elections

Until we take care of Electronic machines which are in the hands of conservatives, republicans, we almo must enusre that a secretary of state I don't care for whome is not the chairmaan of the Committee to elect the president...

Well teh democrats suffed ballots

Yes, but this is national and I explained how it is done... showed him my HandHeld PC and keyboard and told him this is all I need to make sure I win the next election....

You are not even eligible

So? I can still win, by getting into the GEMS Database (now I was starting to get technical), the list that counts the votes there are many backdoors built into this windows Database program.

Ok, I will start listening to them

(This is an older gentleman, he was amazed by my fire in teh belly about the Constitution, I mean I am an immigrant with a heavy accent and I am quoting from the Constitution)

29. What frequency transform?
In the media stupor of the late 20th century, it is possible to think
that the problem is only recent, that it is just since the bush election
coup of 2000. Then some research shows, that the strategic coup has
been in the works since nixon-times, with the media takeover and all.

But then some more revealing shows that the real coup began decades
earlier with corporate personhood and the use of the 14th amendment to
transfer and solidify the rights of personhood to amoral kaptital and
its agencies. That the crime started at the american civil war, and
that in the closing sequences of that period, the entire purpose of
fighting to free the slaves was sold out, that corporate persons take
over and assume rights intended for ex-slaves.

And, to my mind, that is the root of the movement, that here 150 years
later, we are at the apogee of a swell; a massive wave of corporate
rot and institutional sick undermining of basic civil rights. To
blame boosh is like blaming the white foam at the crest of a wave for
upending your boat.

So then the question i have, when you say something like that, is
at what level is our consensus? I agree that the BFEE is criminal
and should be imprisoned straightaway along with the nazi-repuke
leadership and the funds that drive its terrorism. But then if that
consensus is just for the period since 2000, i am not with your
consensus really, as my view of this toppling is that it should
return us to the justice intended for all free peoples from the
civil war.

Its as if the civil war has never ended, and that the plantations
have come back 150 years later to an even stronger point than before,
using general sherman's tactics of total destruction against all
who oppose, except against the union rebranded as "libruls".
And there are armys of slaves fighting for teh slave state today,
as much as there were back once upon a time. So really, we need to
finally put the civil war to rest.

Myself i pray for a coup. The entire system has gone past corrupt,
and it will take the work of a benevolent dictator to restore the
constitutional public after 150 years of looting from corporate
persons in this post war mayhem (civil war).

31. US has been fractured for yrs..
and the elites have been chanting for the end of civil rts for yrs..

the rot has been on the planet since before Christ was a corporal..I have studied family bush and read numerous books about them including "american Dynasty".."Price of Loyalty " 'One way ticket to crawford","bush /cheny new world order".."secrets of the tomb"..

The returning theme of these books is that family bush exist for war profits and have developed this image of an all american freedom loving jesus worshipping ..aw shucks.. we are good guys personna
and have wrapped them selves in the flag that they despise.

bush has now upped the ante by using 9/11 to creat the ultimate police state to protect their wealth from the commoners
bush may be the most dangerous family in history and ..aw shucks I am not exaggerating

He who controls the media wins...always! The Democrats have made very little effort to gain a fair share of the media. For every dollar Democrats spend funding media outlets they spend 40. Until that changes we will not have a serious impact on American politics.

35. Only if the majority of the American people care enough
to hold their government responsible for the lies, scandals, and war crimes.

I don't think enough Americans give a damn about any of those things.

Too many Americans prop up the system of their own oppression. It's easier to accept the lies than it is to fight for change.

I think America would benefit immensely from weeding out an entire cabinet and anyone else that helped to prop up Bush and his crimes...however, outside of DU, I'm the minority.

36. Fear. Fear of GOP in Congress for their reelection hopes
if it gets real bad - then the GOP congress will start to abandon him for fear of their own election hopes. Won't be an impeachment - but it will stop the insane policy making.

They are not yet there... but there is growing unrest and concern among some GOP members... and they are met by a WH tin ear which keeps pushing very unpoopular moves.. making Congress GOP look unreasonable and ugly. The WH is using congress to be its ugly mask (eg they do the bad stuff while bushie looks "good") - and at some point some GOP members will begin to defect (not party - but support for policies) when they begin to FEAR for their own political futures.
