Have there been any Air America/XM radio discounts lately?

Just wondering. My sister and I are financing our mother's Mike Malloy addiction and would just as soon do it as cheaply as possible since it wasn't all that long ago we bought a Sirius package. Any news would be greatly appreciated.

1. I think XM has a special in which you get a free receiver...

...upon the purchase of a new XM receiver & paid subscription. What I'd like to know is whether XM is going to give the complete, uninterrupted AAR lineup.

I know how you feel - I bought Sirius and a year's subscription (for AAR), only to have XM announce its exclusivity deal two hours later the same day.:grr:

2. Are we absolutely sure there will be no AAR at all on Sirius?

3. 99% sure - I emailed Sirius and they confirmed it...

I was hoping they'd pick up individual AAR shows, but it doesn't appear to be the case.:(

4. No AAR on Sirius as of July 11.

AAR e-mailed me last week saying they will be sending out a special offer in conjunction with XM sometime this week.
