Sunday eve. Peter Erlinder, a law professor from the Twin Cities,
spoke out against the Patriot Act in the small town of Menomonee, WI (pop. 13000 or so). He drew a crowd of at least 200, and held them spellbound. Somewhere in the course of the evening he briefly mentioned PNAC, and in the Q&A session I brought up the order of attack laid out in the famous PNAC document (Iraq, Iran, Syria, NK...) and the infamous "Pearl Harbor-like event" quote, letting people connect some dots for themselves. There was an audible intake of breath in the crowd when I laid out the quote, and afterwards some people came up to me for more information, which I happily gave. Some also shared their own suspicions. There was considerable talk of Wellstone's plane crash in the post-event socializing.

The upshot is that people are seeming to wake up. 200 people out on Sunday eve. to hear a lawyer talk about the Patriot Act in a very small town. Think about it.

And I got to plant that small LIHOP seed in 400 ears.

3. Marvelous anecdote!
I'm so glad you shared it! I could literally *feel* that "audible intake of breath" -- very powerful!

Anyway, good on you -- spreading the word! We WILL reclaim our country, one mind at a time. And YOU got to 200 minds all at once! Love it!
