Why I don't think we will see the new photos of the abused prisoners...
Edited on Thu Jun-23-05 05:36 PM by converted_democrat
It's just a theory and I could be wrong, but this smells. There were new censor rules just passed by the government. It applies to S&M photos, and technically that is what these photos would fall under. Read the whole thread it gives all the new rules. I can't figure out why the government would put these new censor laws out unless it benefited them in some way. Read the whole thread. Wouldn't it make it illegal for us to pass the new prisoner photos around? The government rarely does anything unless it serves them. I know the two things seem unrelated, but I don't believe in coincidence. I think they will do anything to keep these photos from getting out, including making up new censor laws.

1. Do you mean prisoner abuse photos? Hell, I never did think we'd see
them. This administration can't afford for them to get out.

9. I know, but I didn't think they would put censor rules on the internet
to keep us from seeing them either. These new rules seem made just for this reason.

11. Those rules will serve any number of nefarious purposes for the
bush** thugs. They have many secrets to hide, many people to descriminate against, many lies to tell.

2. These photos would be doctored to hide certain sensitive areas.
The Court has ordered the administration to release these photos and they are coming out and there are some pretty bad pictures. You didn't like the first set, you are not going to like the second set...

4. That's my point, wouldn't it make it illegal for us to pass them around,
though? The rules are very clear, and it sounds like they apply here. I hope I'm wrong. I think the new rules apply here. It would not matter if the sensitive parts were removed. It's still S&M content.

3. I doubt they'd try that.
Like I said, it'd stir up whole new controversies, in addition to the one they're already facing.

I think they just want to get it over with and hope it doesn't blow up.

saying it's the children's parents fault for not talking sooner - even though the red cross's report said 90% of those there were innocent. Fucking sick sick sick.

8. I know it's awful.........
I don't even have words to express my disgust. I think that's why they handed down these censor laws. Think about it. We could get in trouble for passing the photos around over these new 'censor laws.' They are trying to do anything they can to keep these photos from being viewed.

12. The rule itself is obtuse........

--You have to think out of the box, but it fits. Read the actual "rules" and hot damn if they wouldn't make it illegal to pass them around. Not only that they are censoring a "gay" site, it could apply to these prisoner and imprisoned children abuse photos.
