SO.....Do YOU think that Ronald Raygun is the Greatest American?
I just got an e-mail from "Citizens United" urging me to go to Discovery Channel and vote for Raygun as greatest American ever! I'm telling you folks, those Right Wing types take this sort of thing VERY seriously. I had another thread encouraging votes for others. It was suggested that we don't split our votes so I'm asking you to please go and vote for Benjamin Franklin if you can! We can't let the GOPtards have any satisfaction even in this meaningless excercise. Here is the address:

Anybody but Ronnie! (Ben Franklin :-))

31. So what do you have against Fred Grandy?
I mean, just because he's called the gallery the "Lido Deck" a few times is nothing to hold against him.

I don't believe in hell, but I sincerely hope Reagan is burning in it nonetheless.

considering his association with Larry King Jr. And this coutries obsession with sexual abuse; if your never caught even you can grow up to be the greatest american.

5. Reagan isn't even the greatest president.
That honor falls to FDR. I've always personally liked TR, George Washington, FDR and Lincoln. your choice of Ben Franklin is very nice, though.

11. Reagan wasn't even a good president.
He was an effective and popular president, but effective in pursuing a very destructive agenda on all fronts.

He and Bush should've been impeached for selling weapons to our terrorist enemies in Iran to fund right-wing death squads in Central America.

But he was nowhere near as much of a filthy corrupt moronic murderer as Bush Jr.

13. The game of politics is weird.
That stuff with Reagan and Bush shows that politics is indeed a strange business. Who really would have imagined that we would have gotten in a fight with a guy we supported because he hated Iran more than we did?

18. It's not an online poll
it's more like American Idol. You vote for who you want. Discovery is running a special on it.

If you can vote 3 times online, 3 times by text message & 3 times by phone evey F*^kin' week, how valid is that? Interesting you should mention "American Idol". More Opiate for the masses.

I know this has no cosmic importance but I just can't stand to see "Reagan voted greatest American." It is so wrong on so many levels and would be just one more nail in our collective coffin, if you know what I mean. Oh, well. My the best candidate actually win!
