Ask your REPUB Congressperson if Rove speaks for them
http://www.first-draft.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=3540&mode=thread&order=0&thold=0

Send your Congressperson a letter like this:

Dear Rep./Sen. ,

According to the New York Times, presidential advisor Karl Rove recently said that liberals in this country want our troops to die.

As a liberal, I find this deeply offensive. I don't feel this is the sort of rhetoric our country needs during wartime, and I resent the idea that I want any of our troops to come to harm. In making such statements Mr. Rove is not only impugning my politics, he is degrading my basic humanity.

As a constituent of yours, I would like to know, , if you agree with Mr. Rove's statements. Does he speak for you?

Sincerely,

The first person to get a response back that distances the congressman/woman from Rove's statements will get their good work recognized here when we post the entire e-mail on the blog.

I'm sure they're out there. We just have to find them.

Go.

According to Nassau Dems, there isn't anyone on deck to run against him yet... more's the pity.

3. I just wrote my Con-man
I changed the letter up a bit, so that it wouldn't sound exactly like the sample posted. Probably Boozman will say Rove's words were "taken out of context" or something else equally condescending, but if I get a reply, I'll post it on this thread, which I will bookmark.

I just sent a note saying as a liberal I was disgusted and reminded them that NYC was mostly liberal and if they didn't care about their families, friends etc. and I asked for Karl Rove to be fired and asked if Rove spoke for them.

7. Can I borrow a Congressman?
I live in MA, and besides getting themselves elected president, my representation does what I want them to do.

Who has a moderate R, or one who hasn't had their sense of shame surgically removed, that I can write to? I'll say I'm only in Boston for college but I really live in their district!!

:)
