Hey Repubs, if you want to shut up the anti-war people, get Bin Laden!

Seems like the Repubs are really lashing out these days, now that their illegal little war isn't going so well, and they can't seem to find Bin Laden.

Sheesh... the control both houses of Congress, they control the White House, they got 96% of their judges approved... and all they can do is whine about Air America Radio and Durbin and "liberals".

Hey Repubs - if you want to shut up the anti-war people, how's this for an idea: Bring Bin Laden to justice, and start winning in Iraq!

1. Iraq STILL has nothing to do with bin Laden

so catching Osama alone won't "shut us up". There's that little matter of killing people and pissing away billions for BushCo's profit and nothing more...

2. Getting Osama would not end the violence, maybe it would help

3. Well, catching Bin Laden is certainly a good idea if we can show that he

was the actual mastermind behind 9/11.. which to me seems unlikely.

But that will hardly do anything for the anti-war movement, nor will it stop the murderous imperialists in Washington from engaging in illegal, immoral wars.

4. Begin rant: Getting Bin Laden will *not* close the case -

not by a long shot. Getting bin Laden and putting him in jail with military guards who will later be interviewed by GQ and reveal that Osama really like yogurt cups does nearly nothing to ensure our safety or to get at the real cause of terrorism.

The cause of terrorism is US foreign policy - the use/abuse of the military to control resources and people around the world.

I am really fed up with Al Franken and Randi Rhodes' repetitive calls to 'get bin Laden'. I think Randi calls for it often because (1) she believes it will improve our safety, and because (2) the fact that he is out there embarasses *.

Getting bin Laden is NOT enough. As Chomsky has said (paraphrasing) "If you want to get rid of mosquitos, drain the swamps." It is not enough to kill a few one at a time, it isn't even enough to spray chemicals on the water to kill a whole bunch. If you want to be rid of them, change the conditions that allow their creation. To be rid of mosquitos: DRAIN THE SWAMPS.

To be rid of terrorists: END ABUSIVE US FOREIGN POLICY NOW.

5. Huh? What's Bin Laden have to do

with the illegal invasion and occupation of Iraq? I won't shut up until every US soldier is out of Iraq and maybe not even then.

He is long past the reason we invaded Iraq, if he ever was! And they don't care, those who support Commander Cuckcoo Bananas. They just want to be 'right' no matter the consequence or the facts.
