Amnesty Interantional reports for the period of January-December 2001, 13 executions, 2 had tongues cut out and one accounted of sustained torture then death by hanging in Iraq.

In Iraq Kurdistan, Amnesty International reports, "a number of bombs exploded at the offices of the UN and international non-governmental organizations." Hmmm...Well would you look at that!

The report has valuable descritions of the Kursdish controlled Northern Iraq.
