3. Insurgent

I heard a very good point today on kpfk, a point which I have heard before but no one seems to speak about.

The definition of an insurgent is one who fights against their own government. The Iraqi's that are fighting the occupying US forces are NOT insurgents. This term is a *tool* of Bu$hCO to demonized the Iraqi's that are fighting against the colonization of their country by the US. No one should EVER use this word when referring to the resistance by Iraqi's. Same thing goes for terrorist in my opinion.

1 : a person who revolts against civil authority or an established government; especially : a rebel not recognized as a belligerent
2 : one who acts contrary to the policies and decisions of one's own political party

NOW WE over here in the US, need to become insurgents, isn't it our "duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for our future security."!!!??

4. Don't dispair friend, more people just started caring

Look, some people are on the left, some people are on the right. Some own and love guns, some people hate them. This sort of division goes right down the line on a lot of issues. But everybody, on both sides of politics has property, and the vast majority are outraged by this POS decision. They're out there right now, getting pissed in a righeous bipartisan fashion. Give them a chance to figure out what to do, and you could be seeing a lot of insurgency in this country.

5. If I must, so be it

I should be standing on the property of those whose property is being taken by a tyrannical government with weapon in hand in complete solidarity.

Were this my property, the government would have to kill me before they could take it to line the pockets of a paper fiction and the campaign coffers of greedy, self dealing, corrupt, slimeball politicians.

About the majority of Americans think that the Iraqi prisoners have been treated "about right" or "better than they deserve"? It's like we are living in a fantasy land. People are so oblivious to the truth. It feels impossible to get people to know what's really happening, let alone care, AND then want to do something about it.

But I heard today that more and more Republicans are starting to ask for a timeline for pulling out of Iraq. Maybe the more people start to stand up, the more they will realize how Bu$hCO cares NOTHING about what Americans want, think, feel, or need.

It's amazing seeing the reaction in my neck of the woods to the abominable SC decision. A conservative Bush voter I work with is as outraged as I am. People I've talked with who before today have shown absolutely *zero* interest in politics and current events, told me today they're writing their senators and representatives about it (after looking up who they were, of course).

There's an opportunity here for politicians at all levels to gain a lot of political capital if they stand firm against and loudly denounce this property-stealing pro-corporate bullshit.
