What do we do?
Edited on Fri Jun-24-05 02:17 PM by eleonora
Clearly, we have an administration that does not give a flying bleep about

poll numbers
the downing street memo
accusations from human right groups
the geneva convention
international law

they just shrug everything off. How can we even hold them accountable???
The media will always bow to them, for the most part. They will talk about the WH dismissing responses more than about the truth of the accusations themselves.

So....what is there to do???

1. Keep the heat on
They may seem invulnerable but they aren't. Karl Rove's BS from this last week is proof that they are starting to crack, in my opinion.

He's successfully taking the public's attention away from the damning memo.

3. Organize locally.
Revitalize the Democratic party from the ground up. Become a precinct chair or a precinct captain. Have an activist Democratic organization in every precinct in the country and you'll take back the WH and congress, pronto.

4. I know what would be really cool.
If we won, say 75% of the elections in 2006. Then there would be 326 democrats in the house to only 109 Republicans, and there would be 51 Democrats in the Senate to 49 Republicans.
We need to defeat these Republican bastards in some elections before we can even think about threatening them with public opinion.

7. info..but first we must
defeat diabolitical Deibold e-voting systems....There's no doubt in my mind Deibold stole another election. Some paper record must be kept, next year NYS will switch to e-voting machines that concerns me immensely..our lawmakers will require a paper trail..until we can overcome deibold we cant win
