Why should I DU a poll?
They aren't polls. They are votes. I do vote on occasion, but it's not like they really mean that much...at least to me they don't.

Flame away :smoke:

2. Not a flame... just a thought
When a poll's results get freeped, I've usually seen them trumpeted on TV as proof of VAST support of Dumbya's policies. When they get DU'd I rarely see them say a thing about them, and sometimes they scrub the poll altogether. This may be just what I've seen. The 70's were too good to me...

Aside from that it's 30 seconds of harmless fun for the whole family ;)

4. I don't mind doing them on occasion
I rarely ever touch CNN's or AOL's. I sometimes will do MSNBC when it's a question that interests me.

I did Fox once (never again) :puke:

Majority of the time I just don't see the point. But that's just me :smoke:

5. In addition to the other responses you have received upthread
There is the perception thing. If everytime someone readng through MSNBC's webpage and sees 'poll' results that match the perception that the administration is trying to establish, it adds as a piece of 'evidence' that maybe what they are saying is correct. Conversely, when the 'poll' results don't match the repukes rethoric, they are more open to listening to the liberal/dissenting point of view. The administration would have everyone believe that those who oppose them and are distrustful of them are just a small number of "fringe" people; recent polls, including those of the Schiavo debacle, clearly illistrate that it is the cons who are out of the mainstream.
