Call them what they are...REGRESSIVES

Goclark started a thread earlier today saying neocon is not the right word to describe "them." http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=104x3937152

It occurred to me, that "they" are truly regressive. How many times have you seen threads here talking about "them" and their wayback machine? Why, they even used the wayback machine to drum up support for the invasion in Iraq: reaching back over a decade to unearth mass graves as a reason to invade.

They are going back to the days when the Constitution was written.
They never bought into the Constitution as it was written by our forefathers, and they are changing it, to remove checks and balances, to deny civil liberties...even land ownership.

They've regressed this nation to a time before the civil war when states were divided--anybody ever heard of "red" and "blue states"? :eyes:

What other reasons can you think of that we should be calling them what they are: regressives? Or, what else should they be called--besides the obvious "(*)*__(&#&_&%#$_@^#&@"?

Torture--a practice often used by less-developed societies. We're now freely engaging in it setting us back hundreds of years as a developed nation.

4. That is a good point

It seems like they fear the future or change. I guess a party of middle aged or older white men should fear the future. But it is kinda ironic, while they wrap themselves in the flag and stick their heads in the sand, the rest of the world is continuing on without us. Stem cell research hasn't stopped because we aren't doing it. China now owns the fastest computer in the world. The concept of let me have what's mine while I'm here and screw what's left when I'm gone applies to them also.

from that definition. Their only future belief is in our total annihilation--the rapture as it were. Everything else is based on old thinking. They want to take us back to the times before scientists proved evolution, and replace it with intelligent design.

How much more backwards can they be?
