Let's face it. Better looking people get more press than others
To remove both race and gender let's look at two cases of white gay men killed in savage crimes. In October of 1997, Matthew Shepard was brutally beaten to death in Wyoming. Just a few months later, Februrary of 1998, Billy Jack Gaither was beaten and burned to death in Alabama. The first case got immense coverage while the second got very little. I as sure there are factors other than the relative attractiveness of the victims that might have led to such disparate coverage. But when that happens repeatedly, as it surely has, then one begins to wonder. It isn't anti woman, anti white, or anti anything else, to decry the fact that attractive people get wall to wall coverage when they go missing, while less attractive people most often don't.

Mr. Gaither's story I am assuming no one needs Mr. Shepard's.

3. I don't blame anyone for trying to get the media's attention
when a terrible crime occurs but I do blame the media.

4. I'm sure some of the African American women and men who go missing
are also very attractive. But we virtually never hear anything of this on NATIONAL news much less breathless round the clock coverage.

And I don't find the "runaway bride" whatever her name is to be particuarly attractive lol.

5. It's white bread on camera ...
Photogenic and all that.

There was a pregnant black lady who went missing with her small son around the same time as Lacy Peterson. No one heard about her until later, when people started wondering about the possibility that Scott didn't kill Lacy.

More attarctive and taller peole also seem to do better in their careers, accordig to studies.
