Did you all see the age breakdown for Iraq casualties?
Every few weeks, I go and look at the casualties page on CNN, and look at the faces of our fallen soldiers...it's sad, but I just sometimes need to be reminded what we're fighting for back here at home.

Anyway, the categories are:

Under 22 years old: 494 casualties

22-24 years old: 388 casualties

25-30 years old: 414

31-35 years old: 166

Over 35 years old: 203

Almost 900 of those killed in Iraq are UNDER THE AGE OF 24. The majority of our casualties have been Americans under the age of 22 years old - my age. What a tragic waste of a life.

1. Sad indeed
I'm 20, and some of my best friends are ROTCs. We graduate in a year and then they're off to the Army. I'm so worried for their lives.

Kate Bush - Army Dreamers

<"B.F.P.O.": British Forces Posted Overseas.>

Our little army boy
Is coming home from B.F.P.O.
I've a bunch of purple flowers
To decorate a mammy's hero.

Mourning in the aerodrome,
The weather warmer, he is colder.
Four men in uniform
To carry home my little soldier.

"What could he do?
Should have been a rock star."
But he didn't have the money for a guitar.
"What could he do?
Should have been a politician."
But he never had a proper education.
"What could he do?
Should have been a father."
But he never even made it to his twenties.
What a waste --
Army dreamers.
Ooh, what a waste of
Army dreamers.

Tears o'er a tin box.
Oh, Jesus Christ, he wasn't to know,
Like a chicken with a fox,
He couldn't win the war with ego.

Give the kid the pick of pips,
And give him all your stripes and ribbons.
Now he's sitting in his hole,
He might as well have buttons and bows.

Ooh, what a waste of all that
Army dreamers,
Army dreamers,
Army dreamers, oh...
