HILLARY Clinton-bashing Ed Klein has lashed back at Tina Brown for calling him "Ed Slime" and trashing his new book, "The Truth About Hillary," as "bio-porn."

"Tina Brown is a has-been," Klein told PAGE SIX.

"Over the past dozen years, she has had a failed magazine and a failed TV show, and she is now reduced to writing a column for her few remaining friends. Over the same past 12 years, I've had five best-sellers." ....

"I was shocked that Tina, who called to compliment me about my excerpt in Vanity Fair (last week), then begged me to give her an early copy of my book and promised to 'shout out' my praises, would turn around and write the very trash she accuses me of writing," Klein fumed.

"She has a right to disagree with my book, but she is not credible when she disses my career that she herself helped to build at Vanity Fair. She always heaped praise on the stories I wrote for her. By calling me names, she has sunk lower than I have ever sunk in my writing." ....

I'm no fan of Tina Brown, but this is typical Repub slime "reasoning," finding inconsistency where there is none, and attacking the person instead of refuting the content of the message. her calling him "slime" is worse than his claiming Hilary was raped and hence conceived Chelsea - claiming all sorts of folks he never spoke with are lesbians - and going off making all sort of innuendos about Hillary's sexuality. That's not slimey. But calling his book bio-porn and referring to him as Ed Slime - now that's below the belt.

4. "This Ins't The Right BAD Hillary Book"

That was the slam I heard about it this morning on Faux. But it's bad enough to be fodder on all the "eye on the media shows".

Klein's playing with the media egos and milking that where fact and truth can't. He knows Hillary won't sue him, cause that gives him even greater publicity and almost icon status with the right wing. So he tries to pick fights with the media-types to get them to shoot back.

I wondred why he went on the Franken show with Connason, and it was obvious he was hoping he'd get totally screamed at and trashed...and this he could turn around to create some buzz on the right wing. I think the term for this dude is "gadfly".

5. SLIMEbag Was Just on C-SPAN, Bohannon Radio Show

SLIME is a dessicated, mummy-like cadaver. During the radio commercial breaks the C-SPAN cameras kept rolling. SLIMEbag started "interviewing" Jimbo, asking him how long he was on the air daily. He was clearly so "literary" (not) that he hadn't a clue as to who the other weasel is. Doncher think you would get a little background on who's doing the deed on you in public, just to cut off being ambushed or being used as a tool? Not that Jimbo will do that, since he long ago figured out that weaseling is the key to survival.

Jimbo was clearly playing to the cameras. In a later break, SLIMEbag asked him whether he had done any research into who his audience is. The first 3 or more caller had all been Libs critizing SLIMEY. Jimbo said, "Yes, yes we have. They tend to be ----BETTER EDUCATED, and UPPER INCOME. And, these days on radio-----more on the CONSERVATIVE SIDE." SLIMEY said, "Well, your callers haven't been, so far." Jimbo said, "Well, I don't read from stone tablets on the Conservative side. I guess that that IS the key to having a LARGE, FANATICAL AUDIENCE, but I'm not (something like, a raving ideolog)."

SLIMEbag was sitting there in a tiny, radio room, which is NOT glamorous. And he was dressed in striped tie and proper suiting-up, whereas Jimbo was in a long-sleeved, rumpled shirt, tie-less, looking like Al from Tim-the-Toolman.

6. Btw, He Recanted Just About All of the Matt PUDGE-type Excerpts

He said that the so-called "rape" beggetting of Chelsea was a JOKE, that CLINTON was tipsy in a group of people when the couple were on a holiday trying to get pregant, and he made his exit JOKING that he was on his way "to rape my wife." That NOBODY took it as other than a (POOR) joke. A caller from Arkansas said that this type of joke is a Southern version of humor. SLIME agreed.

So Jimbo asked about PUDGE's running the story as "straight" rape. SLIMEbag said, without a drop of irony, "Do you believe everything you READ?"

This is just unconscionable.

He weaseled his way around the question whether he had ONE SHRED of testimony that Hillary had ever had any kind of Lesbian experience, but when it all shook down, the answer was NO, that any interest in Lesbian topics had to do with POLITICS.

But the biggest deal for me was that he seemed to be PRURIENTLY interested in whether the CLINTONs had a REAL marriage, whether it was just for POLITICS, whether it had any PASSIONATE SEX to it!!!! To hear this DESSICATED MUMMY talking about PASSIONATE SEX was too much. To be clear, I don't think he has EVER had that.
