Can you survive in this scenario or get away with what it takes to survive; the increase of security cameras in even the streets is noticeable.

They are preparing for martial law. I can't blame them. Though I doubt they need to bother.

There will come a time when people will have to band together to survive... or hide under a rock and do what they had read in "Final Exit". I'm opting to do the latter because people are too ignorant and/or indolent to fight fascism (our forefathers would be soooo proud :sarcasm: ), and I've been so disheartened with humanity that it'd take a lot of talk to get me to fight back. The bullies cemented their power a long time ago and they're not worth it.

This is what is coming and we don't know when.

The dead will be better off, so look for the aforementioned book title or others like it.

Or convince me that there is no crash coming, that offshoring isn't hurting our infrastructure, the increasing debt isn't real, and so on.

By gardening organically people can raise everything but their grain requirements on 1/4 acre lots. The Cubans had to do this when the Soviet Union collapsed.
