I remember after 9/11, all the flags, the signs of hope, etc. The effect was immeasurable. Unfortunately, these signs put up won't be caused by the unity (repubs/dems) but from the divisiveness our country is now experiencing. I believe if we can all get involved with this, the effect, once again, will be immeasurable.

One sign can reach a thousand eyes. Imagine.

20. I was planning on redecorating

the "Waiting for the Interurban" (a sculpture here in Fremont that is famous as much for the original art as for the way it gets redecorated all the time. It's a time honored tradition) soon, so July 5th works for me. I'm doing a Downing Street Memo theme.

Anybody know where to get life sized George Bush and Tony Blair? I want to place them with the others and put flames under them with a sign that says: Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire. Look up the sculpture and you'll get an idea of what I'm planning. Across the top I'm going to hang "DOWNINGSTREETMEMO.COM". I need to decide what iron-ons I'm going to put on the obligatory shirts. I think one of them will have: Bush Lied, People Died.

28. I can see where it could be a favorite site for the

guerrilla artist. You could do something at the Lenin statue. A sign that says something like,"bush makes me look good." Of course there is no comparison between the two, Lenin seemed to actually care about the working class.




I like the way someone hooded the statues. Putting a hood on the dog was a nice touch.

22. I'm not good with original ideas either, but I know FWB says to just

put up something. Start with Bush Lied, or the number of war dead, or something simple. Seems like we should put these up for the holiday traffic though, doesn't it?

I'd like to make some signs, but need to find a way to paint them without breathing fumes (pregnant). I'm contemplating using colored duct tape instead.

Duct tape would be a lot more weather resistant...(not that it rains HERE in the summer).I'm not very artistic,so I am sticking to the War dead/injured(numbers I find a surprising number of people don't know)

31. MS Excel

is a great way to print large images. It will tile the output automatically. You can use "Insert - Picture" to place any image in a spreadhseet then stretch it to the size you want. It helps to set your view down to 25% or so so you can see multiple pages at once. Works for words to. You can key in the size of the font you want since the pulldown only goes to 120 points.
