Tonight's RW Hypocritical Moment: The 1960 election
In the months since Shrub stole his second straight election, I have been told by numerous conservatives that I need to get over it/stop bitching/move to Iraq/face facts. All the while they are doing this, it is still fashionable on their part to bring up some crap about 1960's election: the democrats in Chicago fixed the election and Kennedy won. 45 years ago. Four and one half decades. Still bitching. Anyone who was alive when it happened is at least middle aged. But still bitching. We need to get over W's stealing the last two elections, but it is all right to dredge up some crap from 45 years ago.

This hypocritical RW moment brought to you by RightyWhity, the too tight underwear that RWers wear that makes them look so pained all the time.

2. Even if JFK did steal Illinois he still wins without it

Nixon also benefitted from some fraudulent votes in the downstate counties too.

3. I think Kennedy would have won without Illinois's electoral votes
They argued there was cheating elsewhere too.

4. Tell them this:
Nixon didn't fight because the GOP played just as dirty downstate as the Dems did in Chicago. Plus, Kennedy still wins without Illinois. He won 303 to 219. Switch Illinois to the GOP and Kennedy STILL wins 276 to 246.

5. I generally do not respond to this except to guffaw
My father LOVES this meme. I think he is bitter because he was young (25) and voted for Kennedy on a dare. Nixon lost because he was...well...Nixon. As they say, "that dog don't hunt." Nonetheless, I have heard this crap since 2000, as an attempt to shut down my concerns.

6. I believe there were a lot of questions about Texas and W. VA too.
But doesn't it hurt your brain to compare Kennedy, his speeches, and charisma with Bush! Gag. Comparing * to a plant is sickening. He just plain belongs in jail or an insane aslyum. If he weren't a Bush he'd be a bum on the street.
