Is it fair to say the terrorists are winning?
Since 9/11 our democracy have eroded more than anyone could possibly have forseen. Now here we are in a war started by murdering liars. Thousands are dead and foreign fighters are coming into Iraq to kill our military who are nothing more than targets with no real mission.

Countless civilians have been killed and maimed. Iraq has become a breeding ground of terrorist training and looks to be going backwards in time and resembles Afghanistan when the Taliban ruled.

And here we sit still less safer than we were on 9/11.

1. 'Terrorist' is an effective term
for those who believe fear rules the world. Which 'terrorists' are you talking about?

4. It depends on what terrorists you're talking about..
First thing I'd like to say is, was the goal REALLY to make us safer by starting this current phase of the war on terrorism?

Absolutely not. As a matter of fact, thats the last thing our "leaders" want.

Second, more than "thousands" are dead. Try over a hundred thousand. And by now, that is probably a conservative estimate.

But back to your original question, "Is it fair to say the terrorists are winning?"

Well, I think its fair to say both sides are getting what they want out of this conflict. Middle Easterners are getting to kill and instill fear in a large number of Americans. While the government in Washington gets to try to enforce a foreign policy of domination by force that can not only benefit our control of natural resources, but can occupy our minds here at home from how shitty things really are (jobs, the destroying of our constitution, corporate domination of our daily lives, etc). Not too mention the fear that the gov't can then use about the terrorism threat.

6. No, they're losing. That's why they have to put on a speech on
Tuesday.

If they were winning, they'd be riding their bikes.
