Is There Any Known Connection to the Anthrax Vaccine and Liver Failure?

I just found out that a lifelong friend of mine passed away this past weekend. He was 41 years old and spent 20 years in the Air Force Reserve. He spent a lot of time over the past decade in Kuwait, and what we in the military call the "sandbox". He never went into Iraq, but he was required to take the series of Anthrax shots.

He died at the age of 41 from renal and liver failure. Now he did drink a bit, but I can't shake the thought that 41 is awful young to die of liver failure.

Anyone have any info or a link? I know we stopped giving the Anthrax vaccine a while back, and luckily, I've never had to take it. Got close, but the ban went into effect around the time I was scheduled to get it.
