Former Guantanamo prisoners freed by Pakistan allege Koran abuse
Seventeen former prisoners at Guantanamo Bay who were detained on their return home to Pakistan were freed, with many alleging they had witnessed the desecration of the Koran at the US jail.

The men came back to Pakistan around nine months ago after being cleared by US authorities. They were finally released from a Pakistani jail after promising not to take part in militant activities.

"American soldiers have been committing desecration of the holy Koran at Guantanamo," Haifz Ehsan Saeed, 27, told AFP as he emerged from the central jail in the city of Lahore.

"There were various incidents. Once I saw them throw the Koran in a bucket full of urine and faeces," he said.

They can't hide what they are doing, it is coming out whether they want it to or not....

1. I have to be completely honest.
Considering the number of deaths Islamic fundies committed against their own people because a book was mistreated, I could care less what we do to their holy book, the Koran.

After all it's a book, not flesh and blood.

I'm a lot more concerned what they are doing to them as human beings.

4. What would be said
if Muslims desicrated the Bible?

I don't know of any instance of a Muslim being hurt by a fellow Muslim for desicration of the Qur'an, btw.

5. Showing you don't know what a Koran is. It is not just a book to
them it is literally the words of god. Get it. Not just paper but the actual words.

6.  I get it . Do you???
Please quote chapter and verse were it is acceptable in the Koran to kill someone in Afghanistan because the Koran 5,000 miles away was mistreated by an infidel and why it is OK not to kill a Muslim 50 feet away for doing the same thing by accident in Gitmo.

Please don't think for a moment a vast majority of Koran abuse is not for media consumption. Not condoning it, just understanding Islamic Fudies know how to manipulate the media too

BTW, I know exactly what a Koran is, I hope you get just as upset when a Bible is abused, or does your moral outrage have a double standard?

Of course, the majority of Christians understand that the words on a piece of paper isn't actually the Word of God, just his message.

3. This, I believe is what is referred to when
reported as "flushing down the toilet". I don't believe there are too many real toilets in Abu Ghraib.
