Prediction Thread: Tomorrow night's "speech" by Chimpy McCokespoon!
Make your predictions here!

Here is what I think he will say:

"Freedom, goo gah, freedom, goo gah, uh, uh, hard work, uh, uh, I think about it every day, er, er, (long pause), freedom, democracy, goo gah, goo gah, (pause to find place in notes and steady the vertigo), troops, troops, troops, hard work, hard work, troops, troops, 'Murika, uhhhhh, democracy, malapropism, malapropism, malapropism (he's getting tired and out of steam here), freedom, democracy, goo gah, GodblessMurika."

THE END!

Wheeeee! Another stunning demonstration of bush's lack of fluency in his own language! Another opportunity for Americans to look at him and say "WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?" Another opportunity for the world to shake their head in bewilderment and derision. Another opportunity for Democratic Americans to hang their heads and whisper "Oh God, the embarrassment, the shame, I hope no other countries were watching."

1. Don't forget the new locution
"Time of testing." The product preview has been going on for a few days now, and Snottie even used the phrase a couple of times in today's press gaggle.

"Time of testing" has that faintly faux-biblical ring to it, so beloved by the corrupt Bush administration, and apparently polled a LOT better than the alternative buzzphrase "forty years of wandering in the desert wilderness."

4. See, I haven't been listening to any of it lately and I'm SO behind
on my double-speak! So thank you.

Yes, I'm still back there on "hard work" and "march to freedom" and all that old shit, though I DID know about how he thinks about Iraq (and taking a crap) every day!

2. Me too! Don't they have an attic in the White House?
I can't decide if His Fakery is more dangerous than he is embarrassing. Depends on the last five minutes most days.

3. No I didn't lie about Iraq.
"Honest... I ran out of gas. I, I had a flat tire. I didn't have enough money for cab fare. My tux didn't come back from the cleaners. An old friend came in from out of town. Someone stole my car. There was an earthquake. A terrible flood. Locusts. IT WASN'T MY FAULT, I SWEAR TO GOD."

6. Does anybody know if he'll be taking questions?
I assume not, since it's an address and not a press conference?

13. I think making a longish speech AND taking questions
is a bit too taxing for him nowdays, even if the questions are total softballs lobbed by drooling lapdogs.

8. I'm optimistic, the Iraqis are optimistic
the troops are optimistic and democracy is marching forward. They had elections, they are working on a constitution, the insurgents are being brought under control.
It's hard work, but I'm optimistic. Things are being "reconstructured", the water is running and lights are working. People have the internet, televisions and all sorts of luxuries. They're optimistic about their future and I am too.
Freedom is on the march and we're optimistic that everything will be rosy. They just delivered some flowers and candy to the troops.

14. So they've decided on that, have they?
Because I've heard that AND I've heard that they are powerful and just as strong as ever and it will take YEARS to "defeat the insurgency."

17. I hope our soldiers remain stone-faced and do not ...
clap and cheer...wouldn't that just be the icing on the cake, if they did not applaud and just stared straight ahead?

I don't think it will happen, though, because there are still enough Kool-aid drinkers in the military, who think Chimp is a man of G-d.

18. It's not so much Kool Aid as they will be punished by their command if
they can be identified on video as being the one who stood stoneyfaced instead of wild applause when the cue card says.
