Rabbi Daniel Lapin eats breakfast with Karl Rove and dinner with President Bush...

(Rabbi Lapin) complained that Jewish leaders criticized Gibson but ignored Jews such as Howard Stern and the producers of "Meet the Fockers" who were "debasing the culture."

He then quoted a section of "Mein Kampf" in which Hitler denounces the "horrible trash" produced by Jewish entertainers in Weimar Germany. Hitler was an "evil megalomaniac," Lapin writes, but what he was saying was "obvious and inescapable."

As I recall Hitler also confiscated much of the modern art in Germany and put it in a traveling show as an example of "decadent art." Yup, Hitler's a regular Rex Reed when it comes to defining the culture....

That Rabbi is probably one of the same crowd of ultra-Orthodox who say that European Jews deserved to die in the Holocaust because they had become too secularized and/or "supported socialism".

4. Lapin is the guy who introduced Jack Abramoff and Tom DeLay

He's South African in origin and came to the US in 1973. He founded Toward Tradition (of which Abramoff is a board member), an organization of intensely right-wing Christians and Jews. He's pals with Gary Bauer. And he's given to anti-Semitic remarks. Here's a sample (which I found at http://www.nljfed.org/Newsletters/March.pdf, a link which no longer seems operative):

Not contenting himself with the wholesale defamation of his people, Lapin then does the unthinkable, quoting from Hitler’s Mein Kampf to strengthen the point that Jewish degeneracy nurtures anti-Semitism: "Was there any form of filth or profligacy, particularly in cultural life, without at least one Jew involved in it?"
