Poll question: Bolton nomination
Do you think Bush will appoint John Bolton during the July 4th recess?

1. Bush's 'leadership' style is in-your-face
What else would any one expect from someone who wins an election by a narrow majority, and even that falls under suspicion, and still claims a "mandate" as if he won by a landslide?

Bush has been able to get away with it because the Democrats have too often let him. I wish they were as obstructive as he and his allies often claim.

2. It shows what the Democrats can do when they are united
They actually prevented the nomination from coming to the floor because they essentially stuck together. Too bad they don't do that for most of the other issues

3. They should do it more
Both the Rice and Gonzales nominations should have been blocked.

5. Why not? He has nothing to lose.
The American people don't care. He's a lame duck. He'll get his buddy in and look "tough" in doing so.

The only reason for not doing so, would to make the Democrats look "obstructionist". Which would be a very small payoff.
