What better place to get a balanced representation of the country's attitude toward Bush's war than among one of his most loyal voting constituencies?

I wish I'd thought of it!

Why let them hide their extremism? Kudos to MSNBC for letting them make fools of themselves on national TV.

3. maybe not such a bad idea, politically

These are the people the Bush Presidency is propped upon. When they give up on him, that's when his policies are inviable.

Consider it smart in the sense of a deathwatch. If they cheer, Bush lives and the policy is viable for another couple of months at least. If they stay glum and lose conviction, it's hopeless for him.
