Kelly O'Donnell on NBC said that the applause break was triggered
by the pRetzeldent's ADVANCE TEAM, nit the troops! It spread to the troops because they were given instructions to be polite and follow military protocol!

Threatened to applaud
in a democracy... speak and express your true feelings and thoughts.

I mean, anything else would be silliness... or coersion, or fascism.

3. I'll bet at least some of them were expecting something More.
Did he say anything about being sure the troops have body armour? and better vehicles?

Were the Troops there Regulars or Gaurd?

8. Lots of special forces types.
A variety of colors in the berets. Don't special forces people get good gear? Or do they get hand-me-downs also?

6. What drugs are they taking? Even after it was over I didn't see a
mad rush to shake his hand that I have seen before at other events with military

This was a disaster for the White House. The soldiers, IMHO, looked liked they realised that they were being used:both tonight AND over in Iraq

9. Bush's lack of specifics and no new plans, except for the website
to send nice messages to the troops, are going to doom him as a user and poser.
