OMG: Slaves in India (on PBS)
Slaves trying to elude slave traders/kidnappers. There's a guy who rescues them and takes them to a village he built for them.

3. It's an old practice before the white man, and then the British
Empire was there, so it was probably Both colors involved, just as it was in Africa.

4. Children get sold for debt and then sold again.
Sometimes there's a debt they are working off (never) for some reason.

Look for a label - a Rug Mark - that indicates there were no slaves involved in its production.

6. You have to think before you buy beaded or rugs from India. Ask
the retailer if they know whence this stuff was made.
