Yet another "Dont play candidate bashing" thread
But I'm a little sick of this. If we're going to beat Bushie, we aren't going to do it by fighting each other, and we're not going to do it by voting for some 3rd party candidate who no one knows.

We're going to do it by sticking together, and choosing the best candidate, and then going with the consensus. Like Dean/Kerry/Kucinich/Braun/Lieber...you get the picture...? Vote for him/her. Doesn't win? Vote for who does. Period.

Don't tear apart the candidate someone else supports - this kind of bashing will only further divide an already polarized Democratic Party. This is exactly what the Republicans are hoping for and what they capitalize on. All of their big issues are ones that divide or have divided us.

eventual nominee actually serves to intensify the fighting. If everyone is ABB then the best tactic is to destroy other candidates with the knowledge that their supporters are commited to voting Democratic. People being firmly in the ABB camp eliminates the penalty for dirty pool, while the reward of getting the nomination is as great as before, perhaps even greater.

2. That's an interesting sophistry
Asking people to work together increases their motivation to tear each other apart instead. The reverse, then, should also be true - calling on people to rip each other a new one would be the best way to get them to cooperate. Have you ever tried this novel tactic with any group you lead or advise? Did it work? Or is this just a convenient excuse for indulging a pre-existing desire to bash and flame?
