They were definitely hoping to start a fear mongering campaign to turn public opinion against gay marriage, pissing their pants that the momentum might spread over here. Canadians aren't as gullible as their sheeple in this country.

4. Close....but not quite yet official

The bill will be moved along to our effete Senate whose members will gnaw on the bill a bit to lend credence that they're a deliberative body with teeth and thus worthy of the perks which have been bestowed on them. NOT!!!! In any event, after they've finished role playing as senators, they'll rubber stamp their aproval and send it on to the Governor General who will dutifully sign the document. Oh joy.

Is everyone happy about same sex marriage? Who the hell cares? We have more pressing issues to deal with--and that ain't one of them. Live and let live I say and get on to matters that count.
