Any religion that supports a bloodthirsty war monger like Bush, who
wraps himself in the flag and religious piety to attack a defenseless people with fearsome weapons, is not worth its salt.Where are the Daniel Berrigans, William Sloane Coffins of our time?

2. Boosh says he hears God
God told him to go into Iraq. That means he takes bible literalism, seriously.
Here is what it looks liike when the bible is taken literally in the real world. Warning violent images.

3. That’s actually not a fair comparison.
EVERY religion has its extremist designed to eliminate individuality so the sheeple will follow the political/religious doctrine. In this specific case the Bible is being used as a weapon to manipulate people just like the Koran is in some places in the Muslim world.

Using the religion is a VERY specific tactic used by Straussians as a method to control unwanted mass behaviour but the rules don’t apply to the leaders. This method of creating an authoritarian government (by any method) with more and more control by business over economics is a DIRECT path to fascism.

4. God Told Bush To Torture and Kill the Unbelievers
Hmmm....Bush's God certainly doesn't sound like a Christian God .

Oh right, I forgot ... Money is Bush's God.

What else does this God Tell Bush?

14. And perhaps
Perhaps Christianity should begin some house cleaning
to eject the bad apples who are spoiling the faith...
the corrupt politicians, huckster preachers and rabid fundies
who all manipulate in the Lord's name for their own greed.

Yes, we need advocates from within the church to proclaim..
"not in my house, not in my name!!!!" We need advocates who
defend and uphold the faith. We need advocates that are bold
enough to expose and expel the false prophets and sinners.

What would Jesus do to these bogus fundie windbags?

(hope it involves lotsa brimstone and a few lightning bolts up the butt hahaha)

10. To be honest,
this administration and the willingly blind believers that follow it have just about killed any belief or support for organized religion. I know I will be attacked for saying this but religion in many respects has a dark, violent and evil soul (and to think just a few years ago, I didn't think like this).

12. Actually there is no reason to attack you for this
Edited on Wed Jun-29-05 08:01 AM by Beaver Tail
Because YOU ARE RIGHT

At least when it comes to the fundies. Their interest is personal gain and control of the massses, not Spiritual enlightenment

which adopted the form but not the content of Christianity.
