To stay on course there has to BE a course
There is no course of action in Iraq. I doubt there ever has been a course at all, outside of how to divvie up the goodies. So how, in his infinite, Jesus-inspired, red stated beloved wisdom can this chimp in a suit say we need to stay the course?

Idiot Boy's stunt in Iraq, from lie number one to last night's speech, are all evidence. Evidence that Idiot Boy has created a land fit for a terrorist breeding ground! Who fights a war on terror by destablizing a sovereign nation in an unstable part of the world?

2. My comment on your comment is that there can be no victory
This is JUST like Vietnam. We can stay there and fight this thing for a century and get nowhere. There is a certain rhythm of life in the Middle East that does not allow 10 minute wars. One could say that Poppy one one there. But it is his war we are still fighting. His was an opening salvo in a slow, slow, simmering war.
