New design for Freedom Tower
Far better than the original, imo, which was just terrible. This is far more simplistic, and reminds us of the Towers. I like it.

Opinions?

5. I just fucking hate that name...
Like it is really being built to celebrate "freedom"? I don't know why that name bugs me, but it does.

6. Odds are good that the name will change itself --
"Freedom Tower" is too symbolic of this regime, and when sixty or seventy of them are languishing in jail people will be less amenable to such reminders.

Of course, die-hards will always call it that, just like some people want to immortalize the guy who brought on the great depression with Hoover Dam, rather than Boulder Dam.

What can you do?

Maybe we should have a Name the Tower contest, so that people will have an option that is not a jingoistic symbol.

7. Since most buildings are named
To represent corporate conquest, like the Sears tower, Staples center, etc., this one might be known as Halliburton tower or something along those lines.

10. The original was much better... this new one is boring...
The original "freedom" tower was much more aesthetic. This new one is too conservative.
