Another overused Redudlican lie: No terror attacks since 9/11.
Congresswoman Jo Ann Davis (R) Virginia, spent her morning petting George Bush on Washington Journal today.

He's a success because "we've had no terrorist attacks since 9/11".

So then what exactly were the Anthrax attacks on the Democratic leadership and the media?

I've heard this "no attacks since 9/11" crap so often, I'm going to have to assume that the Republican party merely see it as a political move on the part of the Right Wing.

The attacks, beginning a week after 9/11, targeted the offices of House Majority Leader Tom Daschle and Senator Patrick Leahy.

Tom Brokaw, CBS, NBC, ABC and the Sun and National Enquirer were targeted. Most interesting is the fact that the tabloids mentioned printed a number of negative stories about the Bush twins, and a photo of jenna Bush Drunk and rolling on the floor with a female pal.

Photo editor Robert Stevens was killed, as were postal workers.

While Iraq is a miserable failure, One might say the most easily measured success in the events since September 2001 is how quickly the cowed media and Democrats clearly got the message of those anthrax attacks.

So much so that it is rare to hear a challenge to the statement, "We've had no attacks in America since 9/11."

But it's a lie.

1. Between the 1st WTC bombing and 911 there were no domestic attacks...
Therefore, Clinton did an even BETTER job fighting terrorism.

Same logic.

6. 1st WTC Febrauary 26, 1993 5 WEEKS into the Clinton administration
Did you ever heard ONE Clinton admin person even imply that the Poppa Bush administration might just have been partly responsible?

Have you ever heard ONE MSM mouthpiece ask if Poppa Bush should have some accountability?

Was there a huge outpooring of sympathy from the right (for all those NY liberals and Jews ;-) ) who worked in WTC?

There were domestic attacks (OKC) but none from foreign attackers-just white religous radical 'Murakns

Did you see Clinton use ANY of them for a power grab? Ripping up the Constitution?

5 questions

11. Randi Rhodes has just now mentioned
what you wrote re: Clinton admin. didn't point fingers at the Republicans.

My own comment is, whenever Repubs manage to get their fingers from out their asses, you'll find those dirty digits pointing at Dems.

Another Republican lie: "we're the party of responsibility."

2. less terror attacks under Clinton in US than Bush
Clinton had the WTC bombing in 1993.

Bush had 9/11 and numerous anthrax scares.

Looks like Clinton is winning.

4. no, apparently terror is only terror if its linked to Al Queda
Edited on Wed Jun-29-05 09:38 AM by LSK
Whatever a "link" is thou, is beyond me. Maybe if you read the words "Al Queda" in the newspaper, that is enough???

5. Unfortunately unless we see it .......

....as in what we saw on 9-11 we have to rely on media reports and we know how forthcoming the American media has been.

How many times have we seen a refinery explosion or some other story that "could have been" only to be told almost in the same breath "terrorism is not suspected".

Move along, nothing to see here.......
