LET'S FOCUS - What would YOUR Democratic Priorities List look like?
While I agree that 2006 elections are WAY up there on the priorities list I wonder if Election Fraud should remain the top priority because I suspect that Republican forces will e-machine any close or important races and until we get VOTER VERIFIED PAPER BALLOTS, we may never be able to make changes no matter how many Dem voters we get out there.

Too paranoid?

My Democratic Party Priority List would read:

1. VVPB
2. 2006 Elections
3. Iraq Exit Strategy
4. DSM and Impeachment!

3. All excellent. But
how do you get a congress and administration that will even consider those items without getting Dems or a 3rd party elected? And how does that happen without exposing and preventing election fraud?

4. My Priorities
1. Withdrawal from Iraq and redeployment of those assets to sweeping Wazirstan for Bin Laden.
2. Socialized Medicine. (Hey, everybody should dream.)
3. Election Fraud.
4. Preventing Bush from moving SCOTUS to the right.
5. Repeal of faith-based Bush policies and initiatives across the board.
6. ICC ratification.
7. Building a case for War Crimes charges for Rove, Rumsfeld, Cheney, Bush, Rice, Powell, Pearle, Libby and anybody I've forgotten.

I don't think we need to prioritize 2006 midterm elections, if we make our issues then it's an inevitable win. The party that makes it's agenda clear and connects to the people best wins elections. That's always true. We've just been bad at it since 1996 and the GOP (Bad-faith)"Contract with America".

6. You have it right
Deliver a sincere agenda that helps Americans, and Americans will vote for you. It's that simple. Bush was reelected because Dems didn't offer an alternative.

5. What I would demand of politicians...
...were there any willing to break the stranglehold of monopoly capitalism that is reducing all American workers to a new serfdom:

1. Meaningful economic reforms including national health insurance, massive construction of public transport, retraining for the unemployed, job programs (especially to repair the crumbling infrastructure), restoration of collective bargaining and other forms of workplace democracy;

2. Restoration of civil rights and civil liberties, including uncorrupted elections;

3. Real 'Homeland Security' including a rational national defense policy;

4. Education reform: revitalization of public schools, free higher education (as in Europe) to those who pass the entrance exams;

5. Renewed protection for the environment, including development of alternative energy sources and technology.

Trouble is, the DemoPublicans are such a wholly owned subsidiary of BushCoInternational, it's probable our only hope is a third party.
But maybe the Democratic party will again awake, as it did with FDR.

and stopped propping up Republican and media lies all the time....

That and maybe calling out the liars for what they are. It's not they don't have reams of evidence. Just once I'd like to see a prominant Dems call some media whore or talk show guest a liar. Right to their face-
